I'm currently working on a map called "Slumlife" and i put down most work in the terrain but recently i encountered a problem in the middle of my map something is causing massive lag and i need help to figure out what it is, i will attach the map below ((DISCLAIMER OF DOOM)): you take full responsibility when opening the map it's not my fault if the lag crashes your computer.
looks like the middle has some heavy textures or something, maybe you combined too many terrain textures orso at that one spot. (can't think of anything else)
Eeeeum... i tried adding only 1 texture to the middle and then i started to remove all doodads, units, terrain objects and look at all the other layers for anything that might cause it but i found none (Cameras, points, pathing, regions) so still looking for a solution.
I did read about an issue, where certain terrain objects can screw up some areas of the terrain permanently, the only fix being to re-build the terrain in a new map and porting everything else to the new map.
You can get actors to flatten the surrounding terrain using Terrain Deformer actors. If alot of these doodads have overlapping terrain deformers at different heights it causes conflict and excess lag
Sorry about the long wait but i think it's easier to just scrap the project i can't hold into a idea for long anyway thank you for the very advanced help though ((DISCLAIMER OF DOOM)):This statement has nothing to do with my recently changed signature.

Do any of your doodads level the terrain where they are placed?

I haven't even touched the hieght brush (i assume that what you meant) so i reckon that's not the problem.

Okay so in that case what needs to be done?
Check your doodad actor events. Also could you describe the center of your map. Are there any special buildings/units?
