Does anyone know what the requirements for a map to be considered a "melee" map are? Can you do any scripting at all? Can you change any of the data files?
I wouldn't even care about that, it doesn't make a difference of how much health they have. Like, if it's too low, people can get in fast, if it's too high, no one will ever use it. I would leave it. Oh yea, plus the map has to be completely symmetrical.

It isn't a requirement for melee maps to be symmetrical.
Under "Map" -> "Map Status" it will tell you if your map is classified as Melee or Custom and list the reasons it's classified as Custom if it isn't Melee.
And in case anyone is curious. Changing the hitpoints of a destructible debris counts as Custom :(

Umm, I think that Melee Maps are just the: Terrain, Minerals, and Spawn Points. I think that's what Blizzard would qualify as that too.
For example, though, can I change the amount of hitpoints destructible rocks have and have it still qualify as melee?
