I've got a map with a big dangerous section throughout the center. There is a trigger that creates a colony ship (lander) near one edge of it and then adds 30 colonists to its cargo, then its triggered to move across the dangerous region and land on the other side. All good, but as the colonists (or any other unit I add as cargo it seems) disembark they start a death march back towards the original spawn point of the colony ship, right through the dangerous ground it was trying to protect them from. What the hell?
I imagine its some sort of 'return home' behavior kicking in where they want to return to where they were spawned but I can't figure out where it is or how to disable it. I can probably catch them as they disembark with another trigger to make them stop moving but really it doesn't seem like something that should be happening in the first place. I imagine I could also only trigger the creation of the cargo units when the ship is at the landing site but that defeats the mission centric portion where the players are supposed to be charged with helping protect the thing during its crossing and failing that have a bunch of helpless colonists drop into that dangerous region.
Anyone encounter this and figure out what's responsible for their desire to return home to the spawn point of the unit they were created in?
