Im so close to finishing my third person action rpg but im having issues with the game lagging when the player pans the camera down. Like, when the camera has to render the entire map because it is technically looking far in the distance. Is there any way to get rid of that lag and make it so that either there is a view cut off or another camera set up so that i can use the max map size and still have a fluid third person game like i see in some other games. Im quite new to this and have been following onetwosc's tutorials to get most of my knowledge yet this one is stumping me :( I will include a link down below to show what issue i am talking about. Please if anyone can help me with this my delays in creating this and releasing this 10 part story based multiplayer action rpg it would help me sooo much.
I believe you can cut off the cameras viewing distance with Far Clipping.
In triggers: Search for the action "Set Camera Property". Change The Property to "Far Clip" and test some numbers.
Notes 1: Because the camera is cutting off you'll get like a black wall of nothing which looks bad. I suggest you make another trigger for some fog which will make it look better.
Note 2: You can also set up far-clipping in the data editor.
