I created a few custom abilities from scratch. They are on custom units as well. These are dummy abilities that are Effect-Target types. The problem I have is that when an ability is used, my trigger functions as expected, but the unit does not stop using the ability. The button stays highlighted and I cannot use it again until I attack which seems to cancel it. It's as if it's being channeled, but I can't figure out where to change that. I've tried to model my ability like Blizzard ones but nothing is working. Is there an option I'm missing somewhere? Thanks
Embarassing... well that was one of the problems I had. But it still didn't change anything.
Edit: I've got triggers that are started when the ability is casted. I added a message at the end as kind of a debug method, and it triggers multiple times, as if the ability was casted more than once. This is odd.
Hmm, I ran into a similar problem when I changed my cast times from non-zero to zero. I wrote it off as me not understanding the editor at the time since it didn't seem to happen with all my abilities (and I can't quite duplicate it, causes different problems now) but you might try changing the cast start time field to something like .1.
Didn't help either. Could it have something to do with the effect I'm casting? I have a dummy effect applying a dummy behavior. I'm about to just copy and paste another effect - target spell :/.
Sorry for unearthing this thread. I still have this problem. I've noticed that this affects the Attack ability as well. The unit will attack once, and then not complete the action. So it must be a problem with the unit, I just can't find out what is causing it.

Try giving your abilities a range.
