Hello everyone. I just remembered one of the most interesting survival maps from Starcraft: Brood War. Who's up for the job of updating it for SC2?
Map name: I am Legend
(If you haven't played or watched the movie, dont ask.)
Main Description: Each player must gather food, ammo, and money to survive. Food is reduced every 10-20 seconds or so for each player. Each kill reduces current player's ammo by 1. Money is used to buy turrets, additional food and ammo, capture infected (only useful if infected is close to player), infected cures (only useful if you own a captured infected), and bombs (which have high health and armor to block enemies in narrow areas). Each player starts off alone, but is able to find and gain command of other survivors throughout the map. During daylight, No enemies spawn and all current enemies on the map become inactive. During Nighttime, swarms of enemies rush through the map. Players will most likely die if they dont find a house to set up a defense. Survive until word reaches players that a infection-free town has opened up. Players then rush to the town and win upon entrance.
Main character Robert Neville starts off in a mansion-type house with a decent food, money, and ammo storage. (Able to activate a defense system after some time) Must research a successful cure before other players can cure their infected. Should he die, game over.
Other players are survivors who start off spread across the map. (Players cannot share vision) Should the survivor die, that player loses.
