In despise of the popularity system, I've taken upon myself to redesign the custom map system:
Much like WC3, newly hosted games will appear at the top of the list. However, only 1 instance of each map will be shown. So you won't see 3 pages of the same map like DOTA in WC3.
There is a sort "By Rating" tab, and also the "By Popularity" tab I kept, just in case people still want to use it. I replaced fun or not with "Random," which will also prompt you to rate the map at the end. Since I thought only having "fun" and "not" is rather limited and unfair for rating.
In the details page of each map, you can click the name of the author to view a list of maps made by them. There is also a sliding rating bar at the bottom, which you can change at any time.
The extra view modes "Grid" and "Flow" are just icing on the cake :)

How does this work? Is this usable or will we get banned for third party software?
Or is this just a mockup?

Lol its not usable, its just a video.
Thi exact system was suggested back in beta by payne, mockups and everything. Blizzard ignored it.
