For those who lost, Mephs, Chicanery, Dark Revenant, Dogmai, BotD, Shadow, Natdogg, Laertes and I were streaming custom maps while commenting about them on Skype. :)
Hey I just saw this! Thanks so much for playing my map :D I'm glad you guys enjoyed it even though it has some flaws. Lol your game went on for like 46 mins!
I can't really do much about the repetitiveness of terrain without releaseing a separate map... unless I modify the terrain every month or something... but would people be mad that it kept changing? I made some changes as you may notice atm Rodrigo, but nothing too major. I like the snow cause I have a monopoly as the only snow map... would you care if it changed to tropical etc?
I don't mean to hijack this thread to discuss pris rebel, but Rodrigo maybe you could give me some opinions as I saw you guys had some discussion there. Biggest problem seems to be end-game cops vs prisoners. Starting game is adrenaline pumping, fun, and fair... but it gets too insane later. One idea I've had for a while is: At 30 minutes, every unit (including both cops and prisoner units) goes 'berserk' dealing like +40 damage on all attacks. This will help keep the game moving and end it faster rather than the end-game standoff that always happens.
Let me know if you have any other ideas... I feel like it's just missing that crucial end-game balance to be more well rounded.
Edit: I've also considered making dynamic doodads that would change position for each game so different ramps/routes are opened/close. But the only example of this I have seen is team fortress 2's TC game mode which was it's least played and least liked mode compared to CP/CTF.
Onetwo, I don't know, but I don't think people will be mad if you keep changing map. It's just too much work and I don't know if you want that much of work for a custom map. One thing that might be good is letting cops buy speed upgrade items on the market. I'd also say less open space and more like a dungeon. :P That's my opinion, though.
