So just opened editor to see i im able to use HotS dependecies. And im not... (Guessing most of WoL user not even having right now HotS have those files anyway, had those files even before the launch downloaded to Updates folder. Anyway)
But saw that you can open HotS maps!!! It asks if you want to create, open map anyway if you dont have HotS. And result of 10-15 minutes convertion of maps something like this:
So im dare to say that you can recreate HotS missions quite easily into WoL. Unless there is licence problems that wont really allow for that. Still with some major changes it shouldnt be a problem. Most of what I saw when spent whole day watching campaign streams.. COOP really needed in it or in any WoL campaign maps..!!!
Reusing HotS assets (And likely map files and other campaign related things) in WoL is against the sc2 license agreement and can get your account banned :/
Then why it allows to open and ask such questions? And how much of the data in the campaign map provided you may use (lets say no cutscenes and... else?) ? And recreating the campaign.. still a threat to account?
Using the editor isn't against the terms of service. Publishing a map that puts HotS stuff into WoL is. And tbh it might just be a mistake someone made to allow non-HotS-owners to load HotS dependencies.
I don't remember the exact wording, just look at the license agreements of HotS and WoL, it has to be in there somewhere. But afaik any asset from HotS put into WoL breaks the rules - 2D, 3D, sound, cutscenes probably as well. Anything you'd have to use the import module for, practically. As for anything else not explicity covered by the terms of service: Blizzard reserves the right to ban you for anything they deem bannable, whether its stated in the ToS or not.

@TwoDie: Go Of course there are license problems! Would you expect it to be any different?
