I was thinking of designing a star craft 2 fan/project/forum/galaxy editor web site. I purchased the rights to some cool fancy new flash widgets for dreamweaver that I really haven't been using because I primarily use javascript/php instead of flash and xhtml. This question is really directed to the moderators of this web site.
If I created my web site would it be alright to:
A) Hyperlink to this web site/curse affiliate web sites
B) Promote my web site in forums
C) What font did you use for the logo?
D) Did you have to purchase licensing rights from blizzard before you created this web forum?
I am currently working on an unnammed campaign. The goal of my web site is ultimately going to be all about development for a broad campaign or a series of other projects, and it will be used to attempt to find individuals willing to help me out (or to form a design team). I would also like to blog about content that may be related to the users in this forum and SC2 in general. Project blue book is a conceptual title I am in the brain storming process.
meh.... go ahead others have already tried and failed
using it for your own campainge project ... i know for a fact nobody is gonna mind.... also.... if your documenting the steps taking to create your campainge nobody is gonna mind.... it woud just be treated as a huge tutorial =)

A. Sure
B. Depends how you go about it. Having it in a sig or something is reasonable. Creating threads or de-railing existing threads with the intention of explicitly promoting your website, would be something frowned upon.
C. Er..
D. Nope
cool i think i am going to center it around developing a design group... I want to invest like $12 a month in maintaining my web site and I will simply create a facebook connect function, chat room & basic forum for project development. I'll probably will be ranting about random stuff... My first blog will be about creatively creating buildings with cliff levels and doodads...
I will have to wait until my macpro gets out of the shop... I was pretty lucky. eventhough my warranty ran out i got my logic board as well as videocard replaced for free... aparently there was a class action against nvidea for faulty geforce 8600 series vid cards... as a result you can have your computer fixed for free.................. I was so relieved... anywho I'll probably post a thread in the team section of this web site. Maybe try to get other design groups to post content on my web site...
