I am trying to create an extension mod for SC2 which just has the current balance. The goal is to create a snapshot so that when the new balance patch lands you are still able to play with the Mothship core.
Anyways I figured I should export the balance data of the latest patch, which I did, and import them into my extension mod so any outside changes will be overwritten.
So the problem is that I can't seem to find the XML files and overwrite the internal files once I have imported them. In fact I'm pretty sure there isn't a real file browser at all? The thing that gets the closest seems to me to be the data module.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? It's probably not that hard but I'm a real beginner.
So after some digging I found that all the unit data is is supposed to be saved in UnitData.xml, abillity data in AbilData.xml etc.
Now my question is. Can I download the VoidMulti.sc2mod somewhere? That way I can just copy all the *Data.xml files to the mod. Alternitively, what are all the different *Data.xml files SC2 looks for?

The mods used to be separate MPQ files but are now in the CASC format. Get a CASC editor and open the sc2 file with it.
This is what most of the SC2 community uses:

Thank you so much! That helped a TON!
Yeah took me by surprise too since most old threads and tutorials use mpqs that no longer exist.

He means an archive of the game balance for SC2 at a point in time.
