is it possible to do this in Validators? (if "xxx" is the unit type of attacker and != owner)
i want to disable players from attacking their own base but allow them to deny other units...
is it possible without triggers or making a new dummy weapon? im hoping for a simple Validator or something i could insert to the existing weapon/efx...
I'm not entirely sure what you mean about deny other units, and I am not sure why DrSuperEvil recommends a Compare Order Count--maybe I am reading this wrong. All you need to do to keep units from attacking the player's own units is go to the weapon and change the Target Filters to exclude Player. If you want them to be able to attack the player's own units but not structures, use a Combine validator on the first effect that the weapon calls, make it an OR combination, and put a Unit Type Filter that essentially says UNIT IS NOT STRUCTURE and then another Unit Type Filter that exclude's the player's own units. So either the target is not a structure or it doesnt belong to the player.

Use a Combine validator and fuse a Player and Unit Compare Order Count validators.
