When Hellions are given a behavior that increases the range, the Hellion will move within range of the target, but won't attack when in the bonus range. Quick mathematical notation to explain better: Range of broken attack = {x∈ℝ|(default range)≤x≤(bonus range)}. I didn't modify any values from the default weapon other than the damage and period. Does anyone know how to fix this?
If I didn't explain the problem well enough, please ask for clarification.
It might have something to do with how their piercing flame attack operates. I do not think the periodic and search effects it use scale with weapon range. As such it will still try and damage stuff with the default attack range.
That said I though the only exception was their main weapon target. Although the piercing fire damage will not extend, the main weapon target at any range should always be hit.
@NeroClaudiusDrusus: Go As ImperialGood said, this is a case where area of damage is defined by a series of search effects in a persistent. So a solution could be giving the hellion a second and hidden weapon, that has the altered effects, and then have the buff disable the base weapon and enable this new one. Or have the weapon call a switch effect that checks for the buff and then uses the correct persistent.

Or just have the last few periods of the persistent validated.
