Changelog

Major Bug Fixes

  • John Smith and Gary "Gadget" Jones now properly share XP with other characters.
  • John Smith's Psi Blast now deals the damage listed on button.
  • An issue that caused certain players to experience sound issues due to spawning a large number of units at once has been addressed.

Anti-griefing/AFK Measures

  • Players can no longer prevent a game from continuing by going AFK during class selection. Players who have chosen a Hero may proceed from start area after 30 seconds.
  • Players who are disruptive or AFK can be kicked by typing kickvote in chat and starting a vote. At least 50% of players must vote yes to kick a player.

User Friendliness

  • The Custom/Custom game mode no longer shows up in the mode list.
  • Pointless options (ie. all of them) have been removed from lobby.
  • Handicap is now automatically set for enemy based on player count, ranging from 30% to 200%.
  • Reviving Hero no longer requires pushing a button. Heroes revive automatically.
  • You now see timers for when allies will revive.
  • The tip to use Rejoin Allies after reviving will display every time a player revives until that player has used it at least once.
  • A periodic trigger now points players to the next objective via minimap ping once per minute.

Abilities

Pat "Smokey" Hayes

  • The Juggernaut Plating passive ability now also reduces all damage taken by 20%.
  • Starting skill is now a taunt that forces nearby enemies to attack him for 8 seconds, or if it's operational: his turret. This ability also reduces damage taken by another 20%.

Gary "Gadget" Jones

  • Auto-Turret now costs 50 Energy.
  • Speed Burst now deals more damage and reduces damage taken by 50% while active. Damage dealt increases by 20% with Tech attribute.
  • Spider Mines are now invulnerable, deal 150 damage and cost 10 Energy.

John Smith

  • Snipe ability now recieves a 20% damage bonus with each point in Weapons.
  • Psi Blast and Psi Storm can now damage buildings.

Dr. Kate Morrin

  • Shield Dome now reduces damage by 50% instead of 5.
  • Irradiate now deals twice as much damage and has no cooldown.
  • Fungal Growth now affects Heroic units and buildings.

Terrence Williams

  • The Concussive Shells passive ability now also affects Heroic units.
  • Starting skill is now a toggle ability which when active increases attack speed by 100% but decreases movement speed by 75%.

Dave Jackson

  • The Combat Shield passive ability's stun effect now also affects Heroic units.

Items

  • Energy pickups now randomly drop along with health pickups, ranging from +25 to +100.
  • The Battery, a usable pickup like the Medkit, now drops randomly and can also be found in various locations around the map.
  • Attribute pickups have been added for each attribute. Picking one up increases the related attribute for all PCs (except Tech pickups which only affect Energy using classes). These are hidden around the map.

Enemies

  • Zerglings now briefly recieve a 50% attack speed bonus if another Zergling dies nearby.
  • Hydralisks now drain 2 Energy with each attack.
  • Mutalisks will attempt a kamikaze attack that deals 80 damage when their health is below 20%.
  • Pygalisk damage increased to 16.
  • Aberrations regain 200% of their damage as health with each attack.
  • Brutalisks spawn 2 Banelings when they die.
  • Omegalisks have 100% damage reduction against regular weapon attacks.

Miscellaneous

  • After reviving, the Hero now has 0% Energy.
  • An additional line spoken by one of the characters when attacking the bar.
  • Medic attack beam is now blue to distinguish from healing.
  • Various small fixes of minor bugs and typos.
  • Lots of small changes I forgot I did a long time ago...
