i am trying to find two different things out. The first is how do i tell the computer with triggers that owner and allies of the player that owns a unit is to be given a buff, unless the other team captures that unit.
Example Statue gives a speed bonus to all units on team 2, unless team 1 steals the statue back.
the next thing is how do i tell the computer with actions to select all units of a certain unit type. Example all marines in the game plus any that will be created gain +1 attack. But only marines get it.
I have modified Odin's original barrage ability to do damage in the way that i want and everything but the animation works, meaning it does do damage to enemies. The problem i have is when i duplicate the ability all the stats remain the same but the damage is not registering even though everything looks identical.
I can get it to morph into the unit i want it to but the only thing that does not change is it's animation properties. example being morph a zergling into a marine, all attributes like ranged attack, name, and health change but the morphed marine still looks like the original zergling, even tho it is not.
also it does the same thing when i try to use a duplicate version of the raise lower supply depot ability, and yes i have altered animation art already.
i am having the same problem. When i try to use a morph command to upgrade my building it upgrades fine but it does not change animation to the new unit.
Also, banks in a nutshell:
1. preload with typed out name (no variable)
2. open for player and save in variables (e.g. array), set signature, if you want
3. read stuff from bank, save stuff to the bank (section -> key)
4. save bank, if you want to save all changes to the file
none of this makes sense to me. could you give more detail, maybe even walk me through a simple test run so i can get the feel for it?
the answer is yes, you can also do all sorts of other bizarre things with this ability when you combine it with other abilities and triggers. like example being a very bizarre form of mass mind control, or allowing hero's to morph so they can learn new abilities once the player gets bored of the old ones or they become in effective. I never thought id say this but i am actually starting to really like this new map editor now that i have gotten an intermediate grasp on it.
how do i make abilities that are built from the same "original ability", not stack with each other. example level 1 poison, level 2 poison, should not stack with each other.
you have no clue how much you rock right now, i have spent way to many hours trying to get this to work. you are like my hero and god! well maybe just for the next 5 minutes or so. lol thanks again man

Never mind almost immediately after my post i figured out a quick band aid style fix for my problem.

I am trying to make a non moving unit (wall) that when it spawns it's animation is always rotated to 180 degrees.
