Does anyone know why I can't create a ramp anymore by clicking on a cliff that is 2 levels high?
Here is a comprehensive picture illustrating the difference between a "Double" Ramp and two "Single" Ramps immediately next to each other:
I figure it's some ridiculous hidden setting that was created just to irk me and has an illogical hotkey that involves the tilde, alt, page up, and "Z".
Many thanks in advance.
as far as constructing a unit on top of a unit in the game, you'd be better off having it be an "upgrade" and have the unit change to the new unit that has the modified actors.
I actually saw this game on addictinggames awhile back and thought about making it on the original SC...i really do hope someone picks this project up, who knows, the guy who created it might make it on SC, as it's safe to say most tower defense flash-game creators were inspired by SC1 custom games
You did height variation very nicely - i would make the textures start looking a little more uniform...darker for the rooftops, make concrete streets and then line the concrete with a rocky texture. all in all - get rid of the dirt :P
I've decided to scrap my original idea because as I was writing the script I realized that I wanted a more linear storyline. The new project will be completely cinematic, but will be kept a little shorter. I really want to focus on the storyline and the cinematic qualities, as well as show off my terraining skills.
I may create a game later that does include the slated gameplay, but on a larger scale (basically a focused RPG)...
I may release a script sometime, as I am actively working on it.
seems to be a pretty big difference in area to me, but the map creator is entitled to whatever version he prefers. personally, i just feel like africa shouldn't look like a midget compared to eurasia because contemporary maps seem to show africa being at least as big as russia and china.
but enough about this africa nonsense. let the mapmaker recieve some critiquing for his excellent project.

I'm currently just using the copy paste function, but it can only get me so far.

well, you can make a custom unit that has units attached to it using actors...here's a great actor's guide by ProzaicMuse:

but to generally answer your question, yes.
