Hmm, Thinking on this for a bit and I'm getting some ideas of what could be a cool unit.
Do you by any chance know of Vulture from the Avengers Spiderman movie? (Homecoming I think)
I get visions of a pyromaniac with an advanced flight capable rotor-wing 'backpack'.
(together with my "patented" continuous flamerstream weapon... yes! I like it!
In reply to WingedArchon:
Yes! Infact this was my main idea of how the unit would slightly look like do it the way you feel like is good. I can't wait to see the finished product my friend!
I LOVE YOU ARCHON! Hahahaha, that's amazing. So cool to see the Corruptor. Horizon is one my favourite worlds, so this is a treat.
This is executed wonderfully, excellent job.
In reply to CerberusSC2:
After I had quit last year I played through both games (had FW preordered) and I was a bit sad it wasn't featured as much in the second game outside of husks.
Before I knew it I had fired up Blender and was like.. I want one.
Also, I have recently started and completed Mass Effect for the first time ever, now I finally understand the logo you have as Avatar :)
Which... I'm thinking of making the Normandy SR-2 also... (sorry for spoilers, lol)
In reply to WingedArchon:
I loved both Horizon games immensely, and Mass Effect is one of my favourite game franchises, so I'm super stoked for ME4 (title pending for whatever they choose to call it). Also, the SR-2 is pretty sexy, definitely a cool project in concept, and it'd definitely be cool to see what you choose to do to see that vision to completion.
On that note, it's super cool to see you doing things with Blender again. I think the, well "retirement", was good for you though, it let you take a break to get some fresh perspective, find new passions, which is good. Finding new interests should always be a goal of life, as we're always growing and changing as people.
In reply to CerberusSC2:
Thank you mate! Mass Effect has become one of my alltime favourites now as well. And Horizon was also a very welcoming change of decore. At first I didn't think the bow/arrow style was gonna appeal to me sufficiently (lack of sci-fi) but the story was awesome and really up my alley. I especially loved FW because it added and improved on the systems in lace, ofcourse... I wanted more corruptor fights. ZD gave me some very cool ones that I enjoyed immensely and happened to have played out like movie style. Example: You fight 2 Corruptors in that canyon area at some point. That fight took me over an hour and I had to scramble like a mad man to whif the Corruptors movements and attacks but it was mesmerizing, adrenaline-pumping and I made it out without dying at the end. I wish I had tapped the recording button on my PS4, would've been a cool video I hink :)
Yes... retirement, Honestly I though I would say goodbye for real, having done modding for SC ever since the first game and all the projects I had running or collecting dust due to simply not having enouh time in a day, I got burnt up for real. So as a break it was good to have simply been playing games that I otherwise would probably never have picked up otherwise. Also it was good to just enjoy some stories that those games told, rather than keep bashing my head in the few I wanted to tell through my projects that well... y'know.
So yes, you're correct it was a much needed distraction to recover and take up a new perspective on how to go forward. But I'm also pretty glad to be back though. Making my own stuff will always be a passion of mine and this is the platform of choice.
And how have you been doing?
In reply to WingedArchon:
I've been doing alright. I actually have a project, I really want to see to completion, but it's early enough in the stages, that I can keep tweaking it's specific details. I'm trying really hard to narrow the scope of the project down significantly, y'know? As I'm just one guy working on this, with not all the free time in the world.
Honestly, at the end of the day, I'd say I'm a better dreamer than builder. Coming up with fantastical ideas, that tell an epic captivating story is easy. Putting it into practice... less so. But I want to tell at least one story on this platform, so by the Maker, I'm going to tell at least one story.
Mostly though, I've actually been playing a few games myself as well, in the rest of my free time. Mostly to give me other things to do, so I don't burn myself out totally on the project. On that note, I haven't been doing much with Blender myself. I have a few ideas I'd like to take a crack at though, specifically for that project, so maybe I'll upload them if/when I get around to them, who knows? I'm trying to avoid getting obsessed with due dates on things. I finish things when I finish them, going at my own pace to see it done. Healthier than trying to force myself to finish things by some arbitrary day of the year.
In reply to CerberusSC2:
That sounds familiar indeed.
I also have a project remaining like that now. And no, not the campaign I've been working on. That has been screwed over too often by repeated changed from blizzard back then.
Instead I have an RPG-like map that features my favourite model in all her glory and within a "fun" adventure... or so my brain tells me.
That being said, I'm interested to see what that project of yours is someday :)
Good ideology to have! "Its done when its done" Should be more widely accepted. Good thing is that we are freelancers for ourselves :D
Good luck your things mate!
In reply to WingedArchon:
Glad to see you alive :)
In reply to DaveTheSpectre:
Thank you. Seems like I cannot leave things alone :P
In reply to WingedArchon:
Sure seems that way :D
In reply to DaveTheSpectre:
You can read the large wall of text above as reaction to Cerberus on some context :)
But yes, I am gonna do a few things a bit different now though. But its good to be back and
Blender stuff together whenever I feel the urge to create something.
And how about you Dave? What have you been up to?
In reply to WingedArchon:
Well, I've been struggling a bit with both my physical and mental health, so I didn't have much motivation to make models. However I think that things are better for now :) So I may make more models, however I still have a lot of other things I want to do, so it will still be only few models a month.
In reply to DaveTheSpectre:
Ow, that less good to hear. Well, do whatever works best for you! Health is more important than a thousand models, so watch yourself mate!
In reply to WingedArchon:
Thank you very much friend <3
At the very least I was finally able to make my hero character with full RPG styled setup a reality.
Is it perfect, no, but at least I found a way to combine the loads of character customization in a 'relatively small' amount of models :)

I can quit happy now
Hello Everyone,
I would like to use this oppertunity that I am retiring from model making.
Over the course of the next few days I'll do some new uploads of models
that have been collecting dust for way too long. But after that it will be over.
The models will remain on this site for as long as it remains airborne.
They are free to use in whatever project you're working on.
Yours sincerely, -W
