I was following them quite a bit and I didn't notice it. Or maybe it's a component of certain dependency only ?
But yeah, it's nice. So far the only working method was to replace the model (For example export the Purifier console and import is back as default protoss one). That worked only on the model based consoles tho, not for the image based ones as the one of Vorazun. Other way would brobably be some xml UI scripting that I know nothing about :D
In reply to DaveTheSpectre:
Yeah, and I know some people made tutorials on how to do that, but they seem a bit spaced acros time and as such state of the editor. I have never gotten to get it to work properly, so this is a helpful little tool.
In reply to WingedArchon:
Yeah it definitely is. If it's something that helps you changing some complicated process into one simple trigger event, then it is really helpful.
I will surely use it, if I ever get back to mapmaking. I would really like to, but with all the models and commander concepts to make, I think I would need to get the watches from Clockstoppers movie xD
That being said I wish you good luck with any new content you make, whether it's models or maps or anything else.
In reply to DaveTheSpectre:
Yeah that definately is. Also the making of the Celestial Ring map made me wanna get back to doing stuff for Time Splitters.
And after having seen a tidbit of Terran structures, I'm like... yeah not right now... lets change the decore a little.
Which means modelmaking will be on a low fire for the time being diverting my attention to the campaign.... which will feature ample custom stuff still.
Thank you mate! The same for you! Keep up the good stuff!
In reply to WingedArchon:
Thank you very much :)
The Fleet Carrier has arrived!
In reply to WingedArchon:
I know that i am being very childish right now but... It looks like something familiar...
In reply to WingedArchon:
Archon buddy, I love you...
But you should know I went to units, actors, behaviors, abilities, effects, weapons, buttons, requirements, and validators to make this a true carrier...
Yeah... Only took 5 hours. And I haven't even finished the fighters, only the carrier is fully operational.
I hope the collected reply work like this:
In reply to DefilerRulez:
Naah, thats just your mind playing tricks on you ;)
Funny thing is that I actually wanted this one over the actual Battlecruiser. because I was playing around with the carrier-concept before it. However it ended up differently with the BC coming first.
In reply to CerberusSC2:
Yeah, ok... But does it look good?
Alright, I'll be serious now. Yes I can see how making it a carrier can take a set amount of work. But isn't making an actually new unit like that anyway?
In reply to WingedArchon:
It looks better than fine.
While it took a stupid amount of work, it came out better than I could've hoped.
Making it a newly functional carrier was the most amount of work that I've ever done for any unit, and it coming out the way I wanted and needed it to was very cool.
I'll take this newfound invigoration to finally make the MRLS unit.
In reply to CerberusSC2:
You make me very curious to your project mate ;)
Good to hear btw!
MRLS seems to have two issues associated with it; most significantly, the walk animation seems to apply rolling textures to the turret and not the wheels of the model. Secondly is minor in the fact that the normals and diffuse for the treads appear to be mismatched.
In reply to Exeld307:
Hi there Exeld307, Thank you for letting me know about this. Needless to say this requires fixing. I've examined the model for the MRLS. The walking animation texture move is indeed bugged, strange that this behavior hasn't shown up for me when I tested it. On the note for the treads normals, these seem to be in order as it should be?
[Edit]:The model is fixed and available for download
In reply to WingedArchon:
Good to hear. It's possible I may have mismatched some textures in my organization, but I seem to recall moving it straight from the zip into an empty folder... My file structure is a mess. I could be misremembering. Either way, good to have things in order now.
In reply to Exeld307:
I can relate to that. I also sometimes need to careful with where and how I store stuff.
Anyways, glad to be of help!
Badass !
In reply to Edhriano:
Now I am getting interested in seeing what Jedi-tricks you make this one do ;)
WOW your purifier Artanis skin is so wonderful
If you make War Chest skin, I think it will sell well.
In reply to nyy28th:
Well, I am not blizzard member so I just do this for fun and for free like many of us.
And you are welcome of course to use whatever you find interesting :)
I think that would work a lot better than trying to sell my stuff ;)
That Artanis looks amazing !!! Well done :)
