v.11 Was busy for a few weeks, now I'm back in full swing. I'll be addressing more balance related issues in the next patch. Gameplay Changes: -All heroes now acquire targets automatically. Most heroes have their range slightly toned down as a result. -Unleash Zeal duration condensed to 3 seconds from 7 seconds. The Attack speed bonus gained while in Zeal mode has also been increased in response. The hero will also retain normal movement speed instead of being partially slowed down. -Beacons that grant health max bonuses and health regen bonuses have their effects replaced with a Zeal multiplier bonus. -Beacons with Zeal Multiplier effects gain 1.5% bonus only per growth, down from 2.0% -Initial Team Health per active player increased to 6000 from 5000. -You no longer gain Zeal from attacking Sentries. Fuuma: -Bloom's invisibility will now break when Fuuma casts or attacks. Maximus: -When an ability is recastable it will no longer show Quick Shift's icon, but rather the ability itself, to avoid confusion. Wrathion: -Kaiser Cleave: damage bonus from full energy reduced to 175 from 200. Bugs/Glitch/Typo Fixes: -Fixed a bug that made the game think there are 4 capturable Beacons in the Christmas arena. -Fixed a bug preventing the Zeal Multiplier to update along with Beacons as their effect increases through the round. -Fixed a bug that caused the Advanced warning message in hero selection to appear for non-advanced heroes, vice versa, when all players are ready. -Fixed a typo in the Guide section that marks difficulty incorrectly. Nova: -Fixed a bug that allowed Nova to stay in stealth even though she is supposed to break stealth after attacking. Pyroshi: -The game should now properly play Explosion's sound effects when the ability's total damage is below 300. Aesthetics: -Top HUD revamped to include a numerical Team Health counter, as well as better textures and various eyecandies. -A larger Revive timer is added below the Top UI for dead players. -Disabled the damage combo counter as they added screen clutter. -Slain heroes, Beacon captures, Beacon dominance and other events are announced as text in game. -Death Hints UI disabled. -Lower half of the command card shrunk down. -A health bar and mana bar is added in the bottom UI, labelled with health/mana percentages. -Announcer sounds changed! This might be temporary, im working on better announcer voices. v.10 Gameplay Changes: Bassalt: -Weapon Damage per missile reduced to 55-70 (total: 110-140) from 65-90 (total: 130-180) -Shield Pulse: Cooldown increased to 15 seconds from 10. Boogie: -Weapon Damage reduced to 75-110 from 120-155 -Blob Grenade: slow reduced to 30% from 50%. -Acid Squirt: 420 damage cap added. -Critical Mass: damage per Inflammation stack reduced to 60 from 75. Glutt: -Leech Scatter: damage reduced to 100 from 110. -Parasitic Thirst: normal attack lifesteal reduced to 25% from 50%. Fuuma: -Jade Path: added a 480 healing cap. -Darkscythe: duration of spawned shurikens increased to 6 seconds, from 4. -Bloom: damage reduced to 120 from 140. Luxstra: -Malice Stride: Remade into a lunge unleashing energy bolts to 3 nearby enemies. No longer an ability that requires recasting. -Heartache: missile speed increased to 12 from 11. -Lovestruck: damage reduced to 12% of enemy current health from 15% Pyroshi: -Weapon Damage per missile reduced to 33-45 (total: 132-180) from 35-60 (total: 140-240). -Explosion!: reworked to include base damage without using Pyroflies. Has a reduced damage cap overall from its previous incarnation in exchange for its increased reliability. -XYZ Burner Flametongue: renamed to Exceed Flametongue. Damage bonus per Pyrofly decreased to 60 from 70. Maximus: -Barrel Blast: damage reduced to 100 per missile from 120. Maximum recasts decreased to 3 from 5. Has a wider arc and shorter range. -Concussion: damage reduced to 140 from 170. -Maxpack: Attack rate bonus decreased to 20% from 40%. -Quick Shift: Recasting for all abilities cost 50 health, down from 100. -Maximum Carnage: no longer allows infinite recasts, only twice as much. Bugs/Glitch/Typo Fixes: Luxstra: -Lovestruck: now properly only charms units affected by Heartache who are farther than 6 range, when two or more units are Heartached. Boogie: -Critical Mass: fixed a bug that made it possible to bypass the Blob Grenade hit cap. Wrathion: -Skull Bash: fixed a bug preventing Skull Bash from hitting a unit properly at certain times. Aesthetics: -Difficulty ratings changed to out of 3. v0.09 Hotfix patch. -Fixed a bug that lets heroes revive as expected while Team Health is zero, as long as the hero dies before Team Health is depleted. -Fixed a bug preventing Nova from gaining a Trueshot charge from her normal Snipe damage. v0.08 Patch focused on aesthetics and a visual bug. Will be addressing more balance related issues in a few days. -Hero Selection Screen font size slightly increased. Some Hero descriptions were simplified. -You can no longer see heroes the enemy team has used before in the arena during round breaks. This is temporary until I can fix a certain visual bug. -Hero marker size increased to improve clarity. Wrathion and Luxstra's were enlarged more than others. -Beacon buffs no longer appear on the player's buff bar. -Removed some trees in the forest ruins arena that obscured vision. -Added a numerical revive timer above the player's icon. v0.07 Gameplay Changes: Sentries now spawn 10 seconds faster throughout the game. Defense Zeal: - Passive regen decreased to 10 per second from 30. Boogie: - Acid Squirt: damage per missile reduced to 30. - Critical Mass: explodes within 3 seconds, down from 4. Maximum number of hits reduced to 3 from 5. Corvuzier: - Arcana Barrage: energy cost decreased to 70 from 90. - Psionic Storm: energy cost decreased to 90 from 120. Glutt: - Health decreased to 1940 from 2240. - Movement decreased to 2.8 fom 2.9 - Glutt has been reworked quite a bit to make him appeal more as a hero. Check him out! Luxstra: - Heartache: energy cost increased to 70 from 40. - Lovestruck: energy cost increased to 50 from 25. - Screech: energy cost increased to 40 from 30. - Third Allure: energy cost increasedto 40 from 30. Maximus: - Barrel Blast: Now deals 50% less damage for each consecutive hit. Damage becomes much smalller on the same unit the more it is hit. - Concussion: Damage reduced to 170 from 180. Nova: - Weapon damage increased to 105-135 from 80-110 - Snipe: damage increased to 240 from 190, but damage bonus for a backshot decreased to 50%. - Trueshot Snipe: Now gains charges from successful auto attacks maximum number of charges and charges required, increased to 6 from 5. Cast time is increased to 1.4 seconds from 0.8. Pyroshi: - Pyro Rockets: damage decreased to 125 from 150. - Explosion!: stun decreased to 1 second, from 3 seconds. Wrathion: -Skull Bash: cast time decreased to 1 second from 1.5. Stun decreased to 2 seconds from 3. -Spine Pierce: maximum charges reduced to 4 from 6. Range increased to 11 from 9. -Ubermorphosis: now stuns units in 5 radius for 2 seconds upon activation. To accomodate this new change, Spine auto-attack damage reduced to 20 from 30. Bugs/Glitch/Typo Fixes: Luxstra: - Lovestruck will now properly activate even if Heartache's duration runs out in between it's cast time. Nova: - Fixed a bug that prevented Trueshot Snipe from homing at certain times. - The slow effect missing from Shooting Supernova's tooltip has been added. Aesthetics: - Sentries' team color reflects the object its carrying (Red for health, Blue for Energy, Green for Zeal) - The Invincibility Relic now shows its spawning duration above it to avoid confusion. - New spell effects on various abilities. - Upgraded Ultimate and Zeal activation sound effects. - Changed the font of most text in the hero selection screen to make it easier to read. Remarks: Glutt didn't quite have a solid concept and he previously had two ways to collect Leechlings. Even then the Leechlings weren't significant enough to encourage players to use them. With this change players should find him more enjoyable to play. The changes to Nova are aimed to make her an easier hero to pick up, while also making her damage more reliable and less random due to her backshot damage. Previously she was underpowered/overpowered depending on the number of backshots dealt. Wrathion's ultimate felt like it was not flexible enough with his melee range, since its cast time leaves you a sitting duck. A wide stun is added to output more continuous pressure while being useful to the team. Depending on how he plays out after this change, I may or may not remake certain abilities to give him more reach via ranged abilities. v0.06 Hotfix patch directed towards Wrathion regarding a recently occuring bug. Gameplay Changes: Wrathion: -Spine Pierce: charge cooldown increased to 14 seconds from 10. -Ubermorphosis: Spine auto-attack damage reduced to 30 from 40. Glutt: - Infest: damage increased to 160 from 140 - Transfusion: slow reduced to 30% from 40%. - Spew Leechling mechanics changed.
