Updating/Reinstalling bug and launching blank map #674

    When installing over an older version of the game, the installer extracts everything and finishes, reporting that 'Everything is fine'. However, the launcher launches into a weird blank/empty map.

     

    I've figured a reason and a solution as to why it happens. I didn't delete the old Starcraft Mass Recall folder in Sc2/Maps folder. When the installer extracted SCMR Maps in SC2 folder, it for some reason failed to move these newly extracted maps to the Maps subfolder because of the old SCMR maps folder already existing there!

    The fix was easy - I've removed the Sc2/Maps/SCMR subfolder, and then installation goes fine and works. I think that adding a small Removal subsection at the beginning of the installation .cmd script that deletes old SCMR folders and files would solve this. When I find some time these days I might add it it and submit the fixed script.

    Would be nice to mention this in the Reinstallation section, that maps/scmr has to be deleted as well. Definitely would save some time and headache!
