Starbenog V0.6.1
Intro
Hey guys and girls,
I just wanted to show off a map I am working on. Basically the map is based on the popular Warcraft 3 map called Burbenog. I decided to recreate this popular map for Starcraft 2.

What's Starbenog
For those who don't know what Starbenog is, it's a 4-player coop tower defense similar to Warcraft 3's Burbenog. The goal is to prevent the mob waves from reaching the middle point (they will run around the full map first). The cool aspect about this game is the strategy you apply by combining your towers with friend's towers.
Of course I will put my own unique twist on this map with new aspects and adjustments.

What's currently done
- The map
- Game rules
- Mob pathing: walking all the way around before reaching the same base again then go the middle.
- GUI: Scoreboard, timer and next wave information
- Auto-cede buildings: if player 1 places a building on the top right side of the map, it will auto-transfer the building to player 2 (manual cede also possible)
- Normal wave: X amount of mobs spawn at the start locations
- Siege wave: X amount of mobs spawn at the start locations and attack you.
- Boss wave: New type of special wave that will spawn one mob with a load of health.
- Nydus wave: Same as siege round, only this time they spawn from a Nydus worm on a random location near your base and spawn X amount of mobs.
- Light wave: Mobs run straight towards the exit.
- Two modes: Classic and Starbenog (special waves).
- Difficulty settings: Easy, normal and hard.
- 10 waves of mobs
- Tier 1 towers for Human, Fire, Ice and Poison
- Tier 2 learning
- Tier 2 abilities

it isnt listed under tower defense. i think its an other. but if you go to arcade, then browse, then on the top in the search bar just type Starbenog and you can find it. Really disappointed that they still have the preview map only. We want 40 waves already.

i'm a huge fan of the wc3 burbenog, played your map on sc2 and it has potential to be the best td on the arcade, but why hasn't there been any updates?
@Karosch: Good idea. Will add it to V0.6.5.
- if a tower is auto ceded it should be checked if the player that it is ceded to is playing - the 2nd player-start should be on the opposite as the 1st - if 2 players are playing it's better this way change the spawns from 1234 to 1324
It's from Blizzard's L80 elite tauren chief. It's a bonus song played in the end credits. For in-game usage in the map, type -music 0
OMFG is that jack black singing a starcraft song?

Last time I played this map, the wave with the murloc marines got bugged up, and they were all "in the ground". Then the game basically became stuck and we couldn't progress onto the Overlord wave. Has this issue been resolved?
EDIT: Played it again and that problem didn't seem to happen. However, I noticed some other things.
1) I picked the Ice Builder, and I was somehow able to train the Human builder without requiring vespene gas. However, when I tried to cancel the builder, my entire base blew up.
2) What is the point to upgrading your builder? I upgraded him but I got no new towers?
3) The game is overall very slow. You should either increase the game speed, and if it's already maxed out, then some other sort of balancing may be required.
4) Scoreboard was incorrectly showing player 4's kills as the number of creeps left on the map.
Just a question in general. Do you guys and girls find Starbenog too easy ATM?

@LosBollos: It's on both the EU and USA servers. The USA should have revision 0.6 (aka 0.6.1) and EU should have revision 0.23 (aka 0.6.1). Both can be found by using this method http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/starbenog/#w-find-the-map
Do note when we use version numbers in replies and such, we don't stick to revision numbers on battle.net (with the exception of 1.0).
Sry dude. I cant find the map. I scrolled down for about 20 minutes but the only version that i find is your first version. Did you upload it on european servers?

V0.6.1 is almost done, college has just been in the way from me wrapping up the final touches :) @Losbollos: The nerf has been undone and I might even increase it.
@Losbollos: Cause ATM in V0.6 the double slow is too much. It's at a point where the mob does hardly run. Feel free to try it out with ice and poison. Do note, I'm not talking about Burbenog, but I am talking about Starbenog's slow values.
Do note though that this isn't playtested yet, so it can be undone.
why you are planning a nerf for double slow? i think you mean the slow effect that happens when both ice and poison shoot an enemy. but isnt this one of the facts that makes the map interesting? there was the same slow effect in burbenog td and i like it to own more creeps by using a bit of micro :)
