Perfect Soldiers
PERFECT SOLDIERS
"Perfect Soldiers" is a 30-mission trilogy campaign consisting of 3 parts: Crimson Moon, Amber Sun and Aureolin Eclipse. The campaigns were not designed with sequels in mind, and yet sequels they acquired anyway, and now they're all gathered here together so that players can easily access them at the same place.
Though this is primarily a terran campaign, there are some missions in Aureolin Eclipse that let you play as protoss.
Story
"Perfect Soldiers" has a dark, twisty story that's full of memorable scenes and moments, populated by characters that you will both care for and hate. The campaign begins at the intersection of two plotlines: a group of miners that have travelled to the remote world of Roverville in search for fortune, and a Crimson Moon assassin on the hunt for a dangerous terrorist threatening to bring chaos to the sector. As the story progresses, more and more characters enter... until the final showdown in Aureolin Eclipse's last mission.
How to play
- Download the files to your computer, and unzip.
- The maps should be placed in folders named "Crimson Moon", "Amber Sun" and "Aureolin Eclipse" (depending on which campaign you download) in the "Maps" folder. If the placement is wrong, the maps won't connect (but they can still be played).
- No mod is required, except for Aureolin Eclipse. Place the file "AEmod" in the mod folder and you're good to go.
- When starting the campaign, use the mission launcher, which lets you choose which mission you want to play.

Shout-outs
Though the project is all mine, I'd like to extend my thanks to the following:
- Tyneara and the rest of the Custom Campaign Initiative for helping build a campaign community.
- The creators of the SC1 remake campaigns, from where I found the inspiration to using custom music and making atmospheric intros.
- OneTwoSC, for his Youtube video of how to make a snow tileset.
- Terhonator, for his mission launcher.
- The guys over at the Map Art Thread on the Team Liquid forums, for much visual inspiration.
- Jayborino, for his playthroughs on YouTube and endless support.
- All my testers, for their willingness to play the bugged, unfinished versions of the maps.
- Last, but certainly not least: everyone who plays the campaign, and everyone who gives constructive feedback!
Just started playing amber sun and have to say this campaign is one of the most beautifully made in whole sc2mapster. But there are some bugs. In the mission 3 The Khaal-Ro i didnt destoy the main objective in time and was overrun by the protoss.
In my second play i destroyed all the cooling vents in very short time and the protoss didnt come to me at all.... just the guys behind me. I guess this mission needs some tweaking. Btw do you plan to do a zerg/toss campaign in the future?
Any chance of recording a lets play and post it on youtube?
All the bugs you mentioned seem to be because of patch 3.0. I don't think I have changed the difficulty in the cases you mention.
We don't see Bayo in CM09 because the mission is told from Janus' perspective, and Janus is oblivious to Bayo's survival until AS05.
Cenereal doesn't hate Bayo, though he is a vengeful individual who is suspicious of humans, and Bayo fighting back doesn't make it better. Is Cenereal hypocritical? Of course.
First time tracks appear (off the top of my head, so might have missed a few):
Yeah let it do that.
hey Guys! First time downloading a Campaign and i have a little problem: i have downloaded all the files but if i hit the "test map" button, after it loads the map, it immediatly ends the game because there are no creatures or anything. Also, if i try to open a map itselfe the editor immediatly starts to download 2-2.5 GB of Data.. Does it have to do that? I'm kinda lost >,<
Hit "test map".
Hello Guys, i am new to this ..i have downloaded all the files but i don't know how to lunch the mission ...is there is any tutorials about the installation and the launch ...plz help ..thanks
This campaign is just a blast to play! I'm still busy with Amber Sun and taking it slow. The attention to detail, the terrain, the gripping story, the varied missions...it's just brilliant! Here's hoping you continue making campaigns. :D Thanks EivindL!
Played mission 1 and 2 of Crimson moon today. You should hide the supply count in micro missions like those.

I admit I have a addiction. A addiction to the Perfect Soldiers trilogy.
P.S. Janus kicks ass

Yeah, I expect as much. I ask around and was told to upgrade to i7 and GTX 570.
I was like "Really?".
Well, I just wait until after November 10th. I am sure the problem will be resolve on its own like always.
666 downloads ? EvindL there's something you refuse to tell to us?
Seems to be a problem on your end. Not much I can do about that, I'm afraid.

Really? well here is a link to forum topic, perhaps you can help.
Unable to load Maps
Never heard of that bug. Maybe you put the maps in the wrong folders, or titled them wrongly? Either way, you could just open them and hit "test".
I really enjoy Crimson Moon, Veil of Frost and Under a Crimson Moon is my favorite.
To bad I can no longer enjoy the campaign after A Rose With Thorns due to "Can not load campaign map" bugs.
But perhaps after 10th November the bugs will be resolve on its own.
Cheers!
Looks great!!
Haha! That pic is so awesome!
Well done! This campaign is great! Thank you for the great Terrain P!
