Intro

The tidings of past resurfaces. The legacy of Island Defense will reach a new era! It is the dawn of a new age!

I started this project in hopes of recreating everyone's old and loved game from Warcraft III, Island Defense.

This project is still in development and I will post updates of my project here (once I figure out how this thing works...)

Anyways I hope this project and my vision goes well.

The Gameplay

It is similar to Cat & Mouse, Vampirism, etc. There are two sides, the lone Titan, and a team of Builders. The Builders try to build a base ( some builders are specified to base building, walling, Titan hunting, or unit creation) and try to kill the Titan. The Titan on the other hand tries to kill the builders before the builders muster up enough resources to kill the Titan. If the Titan kills a Builder than the Building converts into a Titan Minion and becomes on the Titan's side.

Wood(minerals) is abundant throughout the island but gold (vespene) is scarce. Killing a Titan or Minion yeilds you 45 gold. Builders can also haverst gold from the gold mine in the middle of the map. But beware! The Titan often comes to the mid to kill the greedy Builders.

Builders take up the space of 1x1 while Titans and Minions take up the spae of 2x2. Building walls with 1x1 spaces in between allows your Builders to walk in and out and repair and the does not allow the Titan or its Minions to walk into the base.

The Map

I attempted to keep it true to the original as much as possible. There are places where things are different. A base at the bottom was completely deleted due to lack of space. Overall I like the way the map turned out.
