"Khalai Phase Smiths have experimanted with the Void Rays without using the Nerazim technology as they didn't have enough of it after the fall of Shakuras. They had to replace some vital parts resulting in many differences from the Void Rays. Warp Rays use cracked Phase Crystals instead of the normal ones because the prismatic beam generator wasn't able to achieve enough power to successfuly create the desired beam. When the energy is channeled into the cracked crystal the beam is amplified by the reflection in the cracks. Because of the technical changes, the Warp Ray doesn't increase it's damage the longer it fires, on the other hand it can resonate it's crystal creating a beam the suppresses the target reducing their movement and attack speed greatly, this can only be activated for short time as the crystal would explode if it resonated too long. Some Phase Smiths are now also working on a technology that will allow the Warp Ray to fire the beam into the Crystal at much higher frequency resulting in more devastating beam. The resonance of the crystal should allow such enhancement ..."

 

Warp Ray is Aiur faction version of Void Ray that uses Suppression Beam activable ability instead of the prismatic alignment passive. This active ability makes Warp Ray's attacks slow enemy movement and attack speed by 60% as long as it hits them. Pressurized Beam upgrade makes the Warp Ray have 100% increased attack speed while Suppression Beam is active. This unit will be used for Urun co-op Commander Concept.

 

Unit uses two textures (WarpRay_Diffuse.dds and WarpRay_Specular.dds) that are made by Hammer107 and used by his Khalai Void Ray model. So credit for these textures goes to him. I could have easily made the textures myself aswell, but I thought that if someone wanted to have his normal Warp Ray and my Golden Warp Ray in the same map/mod it would reduce the number of textures needed.
