Great idea and game dynamics, but after watching gameplay footage it seems its tainted by poor visual quality and representation. One thing I can't personally stand about games these days is the inherent failure to compliment game mechanics and functionality with clean high definition graphics. If this was the 80s or 90s I'd completely understand as technology was growing. I really do hope they spend time polishing up their graphics before handing something like this off to the public.
Developement didn't ever stop on SCU.
The UI changes around Battle.net just as well might have rekindled their interest, seeing how it must be a lot easier to get newer games up with Open Games being the default list and being able to advertise your game in the chat that everyone's in by default.
I imagine if Blizzard is subcontracting work to them, that would definitely incent them to move things into hyper drive. I was just glad to see the project advance to closed beta.
didn't they stop developing sc:u in 2014? or did they start working on it again due to partnership with blizz?
I got to see some of this as it was going on. Looks quite cool. What were the end results of closed beta day 1?
