    I'm still looking for someone who can attach/create weapons that will be attached to a variety of units. If you are able to do this kind of work, a very strong team is awaiting.

    I tell all my team members if blizzard decides to set up the marketplace, each member gets equal share of the profit, unless they only did something minor, then they get slightly less profit. I honestly do not believe the battle.net marketplace will work out as well as planned, but we'll see.

    As far as finding people goes, I've already gone through 2 model editors, finding them isn't as hard as you may think.

    As far as I know, and most people know, there is no "premium". So please, enlighten me and tell me about it, how it's set up for the users/players and how to get it.

    Second, this is a team project, each person has their assigned duties to get the project done in a more reasonable time. I'm clearly looking for someone else to help with it since my time is spent. I also never used the word "modeler", since you're right, I'm not looking for a modeler, I'm looking for a model editor. You're suggesting I'm looking for something that I'm not.

    Magic.Inc is currently looking for someone to edit models for weapons/items! I need someone who is experienced with detaching models from units so we can put them on other units! (or create them if necessary)

    The idea is, a player can pick up/swap weapons, which will all be programed by someone else, I just need someone that can attach/detach (or create) the models for the weapons.

    If you're interested, I need models for:

    • Pistol (can be reaper gun)
    • Sniper Rifle (can be from ghost)

    Attach these to a marine unit (replacing the rifle he has). This work will be enough proof you know what you're doing and it'll be the first steps to creating a game we're making.

    The game

    ``````````````````````
    We are remaking an sc1 map of mine called Dark Shooter RPG. Basically, players run around picking up various weapons to kill enemy units with in a puzzle sort of way. It's a game that makes the player think about what to kill and what to kill it with. It is also very team based, where 1 person needs to carry a light, another can be the medic and so on and so forth.
    I love the idea for this. Creating unique gameplay is always fun. Just make sure it get's finished...I've seen so many good projects but never finished good projects. Keep at it.
    So as of right now, the UI spots have been filled! I'm in desperate need of a data editor capable of making weapons that work right! These weapons will behave a little different than usual, for example, each weapon has a chance to "miss" their target when they attack and hit a random spot around that unit (possibly a different enemy unit).
    I'm currently looking for someone who can handle the user interface aspect of an up and coming project Dark Shooter RPG 2. It will be a remake of my already existing Dark Shooter RPG for starcraft 1. Of course, since it's starcraft 2, things need an update!
    What I'm looking for:
    UI Implementation / Triggers
    CURRENTLY FILLED
    • Someone who can implement UI I have already designed.
    • This means removing the default UI and replacing it with a series of CUSTOM buttons and displays. (When I say custom buttons, I mean you can use the normal starcraft icons, but I want them bigger).
    • All buttons display information when the mouse hovers over them.
    • All buttons have hotkeys that activate them
    Here's a diagram of how it needs to be. Diagram Note, the dotted lined boxes are where the display goes when the mouse hovers over a button, it is not always displayed.
    In the main display, information for the currently selected unit is displayed (whether it be your own or an enemies).
    Data Editor
    I am also looking for someone to make the units! Here's what you'd have to do:
    • Create unit's from scratch (there won't be a lot of them, right now there are 3 "suits and a handful of vehicles")
    • Create Items (mainly guns) - There are like 20 weapons/items
    • Create the effects/behaviors for the items so they work properly
    Custom Unit Modeling!
    • I need someone who can make it look like players are actually using the weapons they have.
    • This means if a player picks up a SMG, it should look like they have an SMG. If they pick up a sword, it should look like they have a sword.
    Cinematic Trigger Editor
    • I need someone to help do the cinematic portions of this map!
    • The story has NOT been created yet, so whomever takes this role will be able to contribute to the lore!
    • Work with camera angles, panning, dialog.
    • Must be able to give information about the game through 2 characters talking.
    Most of all, I need dedicated individuals who really want to finish a project.
    • My team is a team of mappers that wants to produce projects and in a reasonable time.
    • This means being able to spend 10-15 hours a week just working on the project.
    • If you don't have at least this much time, PLEASE DON'T APPLY!=====
    My projects put fun before anything else. Combine that with knowledge of how to make good games great and you have some seriously awesome maps. In the past, people have found my maps very innovative, creative, unique and challenging, but most importantly fun to play. If you want to be apart of something great, this is it. We will be making some of the greatest custom maps people have ever seen on starcraft 2, but it's going to take some work.
    The spot for trigger editor has been filled, but I could still use data editors! I know the data editor is really annoying but someone's gotta do it.
    Hey everyone, I'm still looking for all sorts of people, but I'm mainly looking for trigger guys and data editor guys!
    Somehow the most used parts of the editor are the hardest to find help with lol.
    If you have skills in either of those departments, and are willing to spend time and be dedicated to an awesome team, this is a good place to be.
    We will be churning out some awesome maps designed by yours truly. I design unique maps that are most importantly fun to play. I've been mapping for roughly 9 years and grew up with it. I do believe I know what makes a good game good. I often look at maps or real games and think to myself "if it just had this...or if it just didn't have this...it'd be a great game". Making a good game isn't necessarily about having a good concept. It's about good gameplay that makes players want to play...well...because it's fun. Why design an awesome map that has some awesome ideas and then totally screw up 1 or 2 things about it and doom your entire map....that's not what we do here.
    Making a map is an art, not a skill, and it cannot be truly explained in words.
    Right now, I'm not asking for a complete theme for UI. I'm just asking you to remove the default UI and not replace it so it's empty and then add the attack/move patrol buttons at the bottom. If you want to make custom attack/move w/e for now, that's fine, but I want to develop the map a little more before adding a theme. I want the UI to be very minimalistic and I'm not sure there is going to be much of one. The custom UI I'm looking for would be like clicking on a box and a UI box pops up at say the bottom right and shows items, not really a whole theme, and we're not that far in production. I'm really just putting together the team for now.
    I'm assuming you're talking only about making UI, not implementing it. But Implementing it is kinda part of the job don't you think? Aren't the pictures the part I'm asking you to do?
    er really lol. Removing the current UI and adding buttons at the bottom would be data editing/triggering? You can make custom UI tho right?
    Maybe a very minimalistic UI that has the basic movement/attack/patrol commands at the bottom for now. I'm unsure of what wacky, crazy weird commands I want to add later. Possibly a swap weapons command. For now, if you could just remove the normal UI and add those basic commands to the bottom of the screen while keeping the mineral/gas count, that'd be enough. Changing the icons so it looks nice would be a plus.
    So I've decided my next project is going to be a remake of my Dark Shooter RPG for starcraft 1. It was a very fun map that didn't see a lot of daylight because people were confused (and would never read how to play). I plan on improving on that.
    You can check out a demo video of my Dark Shooter RPG for starcraft 1 here: http://www.livestream.com/magicstarcraft2/video?clipId=flv_959f9ed5-1fd9-45f8-8243-7afe9605b5f7
    I didn't post saying I need a terrain editor, however, with recent events, I've come to discover I'm a very busy person, having a terrainer would help take some of the load off.
    @Air1: Go
    DrHu has recommended that I add you, on that basis alone, I'll trust my teammate's decision and you are in. Welcome to the team :D
    @AKvanguard: Go
    I like your enthusiasm, and having good English is a perk, but I do need fairly strong editors, especially in the data and trigger department. Is it possible I get a small demo of what you can do? I will need custom items that players can pick up and use. If you can make a small demo of say 3 weapon items that a hero unit can pick up and use, that'd demonstrate enough.
    To everyone else, check out the video and maybe you'll enjoy the concept enough to want to be a part of it.
