Ok, that'd be cool, but just so you know that is something a little further down the line as we near completion (which will be in a few weeks). So if your able do video editing when it is closer to finishing, it would save me some time. I also have a 2D artist that can help with any text or screens you may want to use.

Assuming you're talking about the UI, I don't really care how it gets done, as long as it means the requirements.

    • It has to be able to allow players to hover over something to display text
    • It has to have a click functionality that activates it
    • It has to be able to have a hotkey associated that also activates it
    • It has to have a picture over it that acts like an icon

Basically I want the samething as a command card except spread out and not in a rectangle. I'd be willing to compromise if you are able to create multiple command cards display on the screen in different locations (and I can just group similar ability/functions together).

I'm in fairly desperate need of someone who can implement some UI that utilizes a hover feature as well as click functionality for buttons. Lemme know, I'm looking for fairly strong members who want to be a part of a team that actually completes projects.

Actually, our trigger guy just informed me he won't be joining after all, he's going to do some work with java with some friends, so the spot just opened if you are still interested.

I'm also looking for 2D and video artists! We're nearing completion on our first project, Future Survival (which is somewhat similar to the new map Mineralz). Be a part of a team that can create awesome maps.

I'm looking to add to an existing strong team.

I'm not necessarily looking for new models, just someone that is able to work with the data editor and create new looking units as well as do some other data stuff.

    What I'm looking for :

    Custom UI Implementation

    • I've drawn a custom UI that I'd like implemented in my second project
    • Each button on the interface needs to be able to display information when hovered over
    • Each button also has a hotkey associated with it (or it can be clicked to activate)

    Data Editors

    • Weapon models need to be attached/animated to the player's units when picked up
    • Possibly creating some (not a lot) of unique enemies
    • Implementing passive abilities that upgrade through usage.
If you believe you can do 1 of these jobs, please either PM me or reply to this ad. I am looking for dedicated members who do not give up on their work when the going gets tough.

    About Magic.Inc

Magic.Inc was founded early 2011 and is striving to become a highly praised team of the best mappers. Starcraft 2 is still fairly new and I do not expect people to be perfect, but I do expect my teammates to be dedicated to the art of mapping. If you love mapping, then this is the place for you.

    About TM-Magic (team leader)

I am very dedicated to mapping, I've been mapping for 8 years and strive to create unique maps. I believe there is a lot of talent out there for making maps, but the industry lacks a creative process that revolves around fun and gameplay. A lot of people do not know what works and what doesn't work, but I believe I do, as mapping as always been my passion.

    About the Project

The project I'm looking for members for is my Dark Shooter RPG 2 map, which is a remake of my Dark Shooter RPG for starcraft 1. The idea is, players start out as 1 of 3 class types (melee, ranged or vehicle). All players start out as an unarmed, unsuited individual who finds weapons and items in the map. This map is not meant to be an all action based map, it's meant to be far more strategic than that. You, yourself, cannot kill every single enemy on the map, you need to pick your battles wisely and work as a team to achieve the current goal.

It is called Dark Shooter RPG for a reason, as in this map, you do not get vision of yourself! The landscape has lighting in it, but as the game progresses, the rooms are given less and less light and players must work as a team to provide a light source. Different roles include (but aren't limited to) medic, engineer, light source, damager, and tank.

If you want to see my starcraft 1 work, check it out here. It has Dark Shoorter RPG (the starcraft 1 version) if you want to check that out. (the starcraft 2 version will have a lot more fanciness to it of course). http://www.magicstarcraft2.com/custom-maps.html

Magic.Inc, be a part of something epic

    @HakuShinkan: Go

There is a demo video of my starcraft 1 version that can be found here: http:www.magicstarcraft2.com/custom-maps.html

The story hasn't really been thought up yet, as this map revolves around a strong gameplay constitution. Basically players start out as "unarmed" (with a very basic like punch/kick/w/e attack) and can find various weapons around the map that they can then pick up. (players can hold only 1 weapon [2 if they're 1 handed] at a time). They will need to use a+click to attack enemies, some of which will be stronger than they are.

The environment of the game is rather dark with light sources that light the way, but those slowly diminish as the players progress through the map. This is a very team dependent map where the team needs to look at given situations and decide what items/weapons they will need for it. Do you want a flashlight? Do you want an assault rifle? Do you want the medkit? Do we need engineering tools to open the door or repair the tank?

So basically, this is a thinking action game, where players who think before they leap will have an advantage. (and players with good 1 unit micro). Players need to think about other things too. For example, you can look at a situation and say, ok, these 2 zerglings are going to be running at us from the left, so you stand here, I'll stand inthe middle and then the melee guy will have the final blow (melee weapons have higher damage).

In the past, it wasn't a map players easily picked up, since they didn't understand certain concepts, like not attacking every single enemy you see, or read the instructions before you do anything, however, starcraft 2 gives mappers better tools for explaining the game. Those who have figured the map out usually love it and want to play more. I do not doubt people won't like this idea, if done appropriately.
