yeah mine is a veeeery simple model, just a plain cube, 8 poly's 6 faces, nothing more. and I found the texture through google and in my humble opinion also how I remember then from the series.
I haven't yet made a normal map. do you happen to have some kind of automatic generator that can aid in this? to me it's manual labour :P

Only shame thing is that I suck at mapmaking other than just plain simple melee maps.
I'd like to help but I'm not very sure on what I could even do?
If anything, I'd like to aid in thinking up some story if desired?
And as for the rules.
It sounds very free of what one may want to make. and from where I stand, it seems that enjoyment of 'easy-going' style of play are important. Only true suggestion I could make at this point: please no map that has anything common with "The Vermillion Problem".
Hello, Guys. While many of you may already have seen me around here, I wanted to take the oppertunity to thank everyone who has helped me to get where I am now. As a model creator I'm still quite some ways behind guys like Alleyviper85, GhostNova91, TaylorMouse and others. However, by starting this showcase thread I hope to find people that may have input so I can increase on quality and delivery.
I also hope to release new assets with some regularity. Time is sparse however, so I hope you guys will understand.
Small note for the 'creation-community': I use blender with Println's plugin, Paint.net and sometimes Unigraphics.
EDIT: On account of TaylorMouse's advise, I've uploaded new images of all Talon unit created so far.
I hope that they come better to their rights, and that th unit-design is clearly visible for anyone to see.
Because of this, I'll repost all units here again.

I did have some points. Browsing the new website and stuff I happened to have done/asked some things on the forum where at the time I needed help with. On some occasions may have actually come back after I got working what I counldn't before, but more often than not, the question/topic just dead and grew silent. Now I found them back.
Some of the questions were solved, something I believe MrSuperEvil also suggested: a "Solved" tag. Also: can we close topics at some point? some questions may be very old/obsolete and could be closed.
I do am glad MrFlameGoat is taking so much of his presumably occupied time to still try and make this site work good for us all again.
I cant imagine this to be a light load to do.
Especially not with all of us looking to varying bugs and stuff in each of our points of interest.
On the Front Page... I usually scrolled by it fairly quick most often and immediately went into the assets or maps section as I've been most active there. I do however must say that this big screen with the rewards thing confuses me, especially since when I've clicked it, nothing happened. (not sure where its supposed to take me)
I do love how the navigation now works on the sections in the header. Very easy and nice how you can now navigate into project-locations where I'm active :)
Hi DrSuperdevil, the odd thing is, that specific texture file you adress "Lazerbolt1_Blue" (and many others like these) were converted to be purple, the main beam which IS purple, uses the same textures, so that's why this confuses me to death.
I'm coming here also with some minor things, I may have missed it.. but just to adress.
I've uploaded 2 new pieces of assets, and usually I link them to the main page, but I can't find the button to edit that page with the new stuff.
And also, I very accustomed to link images to the downloadable items and viceversa, now the images seem to not properly load, can't be clicked and the images I added also don't appear in the right order (newest first) and not as thumbnail in the overview thingy, while I did have the box checked.
Other than these little things I've come across, the site look cool and new and fresh!

I also like it as the thematics for the faction. Which however does bring me to the following.
I've been working on some of the buildings like the Photon Cannon and Gateway however I'm not getting the models quite right.
The effects on them, such as the powerup effect and some strange elektric-like beams shoot away from it.
Is there any way in Blender to get this thing with the particles and ribbons repaired?

ell, considering I'm about mediocre level and that it was a meshup in just a day, I presume there's always potential for itto be better.
However OnlyLeviathan let me know it helped him out pretty good so.

Entire idea why I presented them this way was to create sort of a vibe.
Then I'll go ahead to quickly make some images with a greyish background like everyone else :)

How accurate do you want the model to be?
I may not be able to deliver you to greatest possible quality at lightning speed.
But I may be of ability to generate something like the Borg Cube. Greatest problem I would face is textures (most notably normals)
And I'd like to know, what should the cube be able to do? I mean, one could easily make it into a flying.. cube.
