Haha, yeah its going pretty fast now. But I'm not done yet :D Still some awesome models that need to be made, not to say anything about seeking out the wild side of modeling :) I'm also already having some fun ideas for alternative models and stuff. But when the cosmetic overhaul is done, I can turn it into a mod that swaps out the Protoss models. And ultimately.. a nice mission map to provide some good featuring. That should prove interesting getting my mapskills up a notch :P
REcently I've upgraded to blender 2.81 (or something) and that version does wonders for me as far as goes the modelmaking of more complex models, yesterday I did a quick trail to import and export a Gateway. Where in previous version the particle systems were all wack, now it worked perfectly.
And seeing as how I'm getting fairly familiar with the more indepth functions of blender I think I'm sticking to my guns :p
But your suggestion for anyone who wants 3DS Max can use above mentioned method to acquire it.
I haven't checked the setup for those WC models (civ as dr superevil mentioned) but is this similar to the SC Goliath? Which can also have different textures on him?

First off I'd like to give attention to a small fix.
For most buildings a Powerup effect runs whenever the building receives a powerfield.
I have however forgot to enclose the texture for several buildings already uploaded.

Its been a while but I've not been slacking around :P
I've been cooking up some models based on other Talon assets.
I hereby present a new update for the trusty front-line Talon Hunter and a new fearsome creature known as the Golem.

For the one with the careful eye, the Crusader from my above post revealed that the decal was taken from another structure which I had in line.
Below model has remained close to the original and kept simple, but given a Talon exterior.
