Hello, I am having a serious issue in the arcade map. I created the map to have 2 races use an autospawn army and heroes to vie for dominance. So far, everything is working swell, heroes are selectable though lobby, they respawn with 75% of their health, rally auto attacks ect. There are 4 hero choices. (1 Major, and 1 Minor hero who should also be the base commander. These heroes are supposed to be race specific.) However, when I start the game, the minor heroes are not always the base commanders, and the right heroes are not always allied. This is because the teams are based on the player spots in the lobby. If you guys have ever played an arcade game known as Heaven Besieged, you can choose your hero in the lobby, and that determines your team. This is exactly what I am looking for in my map. How can this be done?
Also an extra thing as I want AI players to be viable, is there a way where I can make a trigger that auto rallies their buildings? Also, it would be ideal if they would attack with their heroes. If there is a way for them to do that, it would be great.
I forgot to mention triggers and game attributes. I have tried those tutorials as well. I even tired using my friends pc to upload, but turns out he has the free version, and therefore cannot upload maps or mods.
Edit: It turns out that my game too is stuck in an excessive error: "loading map dependencies". And I can't even play anything.
I was creating an arcade map, and worked though many hurtles, including the fact that I had to start my project over 3 times due to using a dependency that linked many mods together. I got the map working, and even tried to publish it. That is, until I got this error:
Retrieving Header File for Document Dependency: Teams 04 (Mod)
I immediately thought it was my maps fault, so I tested many things. I removed and re-added dependencies, I relogged off and on of my account to publish, I deleted all custom races, got rid of all player settings, and even logged out, opened the editor, logged back in, and opened my map though file->open. Next, I read on the Blizzard support to delete the Blizzard cache folder. I did that, but to no avail. I tried repairing my game, and even went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling sc2. I still got the error. Afterwards, I opened up the editor to see if the error was just in my map but I still got it. One thing I noticed is when I am about to close the sc2 editor is gives me this message. (See image 2.)
So, how can one enable Tier requirements? I have already done the tiers, loopgroop (Repeat Order) stuff, but I am stuck on the requirement end of the deal.
I am creating a large mod that replaces the core 3 units with 4 custom (Soon to be 5) races. The mod is a blast, exept for the fact that AIs are as dumb as heck. They seem to be able to do upgrades, buildings and low tier infantry units, but I can't get them to train T2-T4 units. Could anyone show me a trigger that could work for this?
So I have tried to make the gas in a geyser more than 2000, but it doesn't seem to work. I can do it with minerals, and before the Commander Phoenix patch, I was capable of increasing the gas, however, after a certain patch, I was unable to increase the amount. I might be missing something. Its under harvestable vespine gas, which I believe is a behavior. I will need pictures, as I am not a pro at knowing my file paths.
It is a shame people try to nickel and dime you to get any good quality work. I would help you, but I am not quite to that level in the editor. I hope you can still get help.
