Okay sweet, so it seems there will be a couple of you guys there in addition to the RTC winners. We'll definitely need to plan a hang out. I'll be at the community booth on both days so we can meet in that area. I'll update this thread with more details when we get closer to the event.
Let me know if anyone else is coming!
I'd be up for a meetup, too bad there's no formal mapping stuff happening, :-P.
Programming skill are helpful but not required when making maps in sc2. More important is experience with the editor itself and some knowledge on how to do certain thing or work around them. That being said, I don't think 100 hours is nearly enough to archieve something worthwhile to present.
If you have some idea about a game you want to make, it would be easier to comment on this. But if you don't, I don't think this is a good idea.
I would say being able to understand programming concepts helps development of SC2 maps, and vice versa... Experience making SC2 maps should theoretically make you understand programming concepts.
I updated the wiki page so you can click on the wiki that works...so confusing. I was going through and trying to update the old wiki....all the links are dead since the last curse update...and decided this is a waste of time. Apologies if I'm over-stepping my bounds as a new person to this website.
Oops, I meant to post this last Sunday. I've been gone for the last two days, sorry about that ^.^
Lots of and lots of bugfixes..again. The map now is configured to support up to 4 players, which is probably where we'll leave it for the time being. I put in a few more side quests as well- At the moment, we've got a total of 13 quests/side-quests, which is enough to get some alpha testing done. It's going to be a little grindy when we first let you guys play it, because we don't have enough content to smooth out the progression. We may put in some cheat codes so you'll be able to level up your starmon instantly. This next week I'm going to be away for at least a few days, but we're pretty close to something you guys can play. :D
We're definitely considering it. The game engine is pretty much done, but there's not a lot of game yet. So we'd need to get enough quests in to make it actually enjoyable to play for the average battle.net user. But yeah, we're absolutely looking at it.
Thanks. At this point I followed the other post to the letter. While I do not get the triggers back as expected, I do get the Galaxy Script, and as it is not far from C I don't have trouble reading it or coding it in.
My guess would be the Variants/attributes are still incorrect.
Do some searching for it, there's a link on Mapster somewhere that explains how to unprotect maps. Theoretically you can map back the Galaxy Script to the Triggers file as well, but it's an awful lot of work, and to my knowledge, hasn't been done before. But again, it's possible.

TWITCH PLAYS STARMON?

Not all mods were given news access after they split that privilege out a year or two ago, I suppose that counts for edits too.
