posted a message on UI - Hide Minimap Panel

Nevermind. While the command does seem to hide all minimap panels, you can reactivate the specific ones you want with "Show Dialog Item". Hope this helps if someone runs into the same issue in the future.

posted a message on UI - Hide Minimap Panel

For some reason, this command hides all minimap panels, including ones created through dialogs. Anyone have any ideas on hiding the main minimap without hiding minimaps made through dialogs? I would rather not just push it off screen with layout files...but I guess that might be what I am looking at here.

For reference I am working on the . I want to get rid of the extra crap around the minimap, but I don't want it to have any affect on the players...which is why I want to avoid moving the normal minimap via layout files.

This still isn't working for me. All you are doing is clicking the image reference and then pressing okay in the selection window?

posted a message on Dialog Progress Bar

Is there a way to link a dialog to a unit research? I am trying to create a sort of custom production tab for my map, and I want to link the progress of a unit construction or research with a progress bar.

Is this better suited for dialogs or leaderboards?

    Thanks for any help!

Has anyone figured out how to hide the battle.net friends button background with the new ui editor? I can't seem to find it.

Yeah everything I have tested using that method or something similar has failed.

But if you show the minimap ui and create a panel....aren't you just getting two minimaps now? Is there another way to hide the original minimap for only specific players?

posted a message on Create Panel using Template

Interesting, however upon testing it appears to just crash SC2 to desktop when you try to use the template (minimap) I need anyways.

No I am not sure of that...I wouldn't even know where to begin. I just got a list of templates from another thread somewhere.

Has anyone else noticed that creating a panel using a template no longer works after patch? The map I am working on is broken as shit now. Has anyone found a workaround solution?

posted a message on Observer UI/Dialogs

In the patch notes it says "Support has been added to allow mod makers to control the UI for observers, and to control the behavior of individual dialog items when observing." and "Frames in the standard UI can now be hooked up as Trigger Dialogs."

Has anyone figured out how to use this stuff yet?

posted a message on Creating an Image as an Actor

If I update to arcade beta and design my map with this, will it still be able to play in normal SC2?

Also, something I have noticed while using this method (which is great) is that the images are faded, or not as vibrant as they would be using a dialog. I have the faded transparency set to 100% but it still appears faded. Is there a setting I am missing?

posted a message on Creating an Image as an Actor

I want to create an actor or effect which is just a static image so that I can have it hover above a unit. The goal is to get a similar result to the 'attach dialog to unit' command but without the huge number of issues which arise with that.

I don't even really know where to begin here, it's been awhile since I have worked much with the data editor. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Here is an example of what I am trying to do. This is screenshot was taken using the attach dialog to unit (in this case just trying to show what the forge is currently upgrading), but I want to do it with actors instead if possible. Or if anyone can think of another solution I would be open to that as well.

Thank you very much for your time.
