    @Taintedwisp:

I like playing games to learn about others, to see others doing strategies and understand how people think. When I played D3 I felt like I was wasting precious time. Pretty much like playing Call of Duty. I used to enjoy this click click click click games, but now I feel that I'm learning nothing. Maybe I'm getting too old. I'm already older than my dad. ಠ_ಠ,

I played D3 for like 10 min, got bored and left. The chat is so damn small, nobody talks on it, and there's nobody on the city to do some social like Diablo 2 had. I have to confess I miss D2 social, and because of that I'd much rather host D2 lan parties than D3. So yeah, I guess I'm not buying D3 right now. No lan parties, no social and no mod making, there's pretty much nothing to do besides listen to the story and click click click. I guess I'm getting old.

26 mb of sounds? wow. Chatroom Contest has like 30 different sounds including background sound and it's less than 1 mb (1.5 mb the whole game).

Now my maps had on total about 1.8mb.

Of course kids can mod. I made awesome mods for Starcraft when I was 10 years old (even a version of cat vs. mice and the first soccer game where the ball was a zergling and the players firebats. That was the first soccer mod, MANY months before Blizzard release a plagiarized coincidental copy).

I also made Villager life with 14 years old.

http://www.sc2mapster.com/media/attachments/26/113/Villager_Life_ranking.JPG (Ps.: Last Villager life I made was version 1.5. After that, people started modding my map. I also made at that time for warcraft 3 other maps like Lemmonade Commerce, Farmer Life, Risk 8, Micro Tactics, Word Tower Defense, and the Lost Mansion).

Now I'm too old. It's time for my retirement.

Rodrigo, let me ask you: If you knew someone was about to commit murder, would you not feel compelled to try to stop them, call the police, or warn the victim? For those who believe the unborn are human persons, that's exactly what abortion is. It isn't about censorship or denying rights or anything like that - it's about defending a life unable to defend itself.

Yes, I would defend the person if I am there in the scene as I have, with words, convinced friends that suicide is not what they really wanted. But, I wouldn't make a law against it and put people in jail for not obeying the law. It's the 'foot in the door' phenomenon. More you censor, more censorship will come. Now american cops can already strip-search people. What's next? Touching your penis every time you travel? Censorship is going so crazy that even good old cartoons like Popeye can't be mainstreamed anymore due to its violence. I remember times where you could have a horse in the city or buy pure raw healthy milk without being charged. Maybe in the future we will tell our kids how we used to have a free encyclopedia, ride bikes without helmet, and how we could climb trees without being fined by a cop.

Religious people has all the right to believe whatever they want. But, I don't agree with imposing their beliefs by law.

If I was a woman, I'd never abort my own child because even if I was raped and don't love the child, life is too complex for me to say this child will have a shitty life. Maybe it will become a brilliant human being. I would never abort a baby, but WHY SHOULD I STOP PEOPLE FROM DOING IT?

God, I hate censorship so much. If people want to abort, let them abort. If people want to kill themselves, let them kill themselves. If people want to be homo, let them be Bounty. If people want to believe in the giant spaguetti, let them believe without judging that they are wrong.

I still can't understand why would people prevent others from doing something that doesn't concern them. If God has a problem with it, then let himself stop it.

    You forgot suicide.

Suicide is illegal just because of religion because the government thinks they know what's the best for our soul.

Lol. This thread is FAR the most popular thread in a STARCRAFT community. rofl. That only proves that Debates was the best starcraft map :)

Now, back to religion. You guys should have in mind that none of you will change ideas of anybody in here. I had countless religious debates before, and they always end up the same. Things won't be different here.

Ps: We have a Debates game on Chatroom Contest in less than half hour (4 pm pacific time). All of you are invited to debate religion there. https://www.chatroomcontest.com

I haven't read the full thing, but that doesn't mean I don't know the things that are in there (as per your mention, heavy/ridiculous punishments on non-offenses like homosexualism). You're missing my point, though. The bible should come with a big sign saying 'READERS DISCRETION ADVICED'.

I read a little of the bible in both Portuguese bibles and English bibles. What is interesting is that both versions have a lot of different interpretations. For example, on one Portuguese version (based on Latin) I read, the part that talks about homosexuality pretty much says that it's wrong to be promiscuous like a man with a man or a woman with a woman. This "like" means that gay people was just AN EXAMPLE of how one can be promiscuous. They didn't need to give an example of a man with a woman because that was OBVIOUS already. But, differently, in this same part, the English version of the bible is not an example, but a statement. Now, which one is the most accurate translation? The best to know is to read the Aramaic version of the bible, but Aramaic specialists also point out a lot of wrong translations because the old Aramaic is a language that is quite hard to translate (we already lost part of the cultural translations, and the Bible uses slangs of that time).

There's hundreds of different translations of the bible, and a LOT of distorted meanings in those translations. So, every time someone tells me about a "word of god" that is in the bible, I ask which version of the bible and in which language.

But yeah, the bible is quite a harsh book to be rated free while some D&d books are rated 17+. I am totally against any kind of prohibition, but if our society really wants to play with prohibitions, then they should not allow little kids in the church because their brain is not mature enough to deal with all that persuasion.

I remember when I was a kid my parents forcing me to go to church. It was a hell. When they gave me that bread with wine, I spit it on the floor 'cause I HATE the taste of alcohol (I had thought it was grape juice). They thought I had the demon inside me. Oh god, what a bad experience... I can't forget how much they tried to exorcise me. That's much worse than playing Grand Theft Auto. Still, GTA is 17+, but not churches.
