    I'm pretty sure I have "start the melee ai" set up after it and I definately have the switching before creating melee starting units but i will check tonight and maybe move some triggers around to make sure it happens in that order to see if it is the problem. Hoping its that simple!

    I tried asking in the AI forums and didn't get any responses.

    Basically I want to have two AI's set to random (Player 3 and Player 4) but always be the same race, so I have a trigger that basically says if Player 3 is Protoss then set player 4 to Protoss (etc). It works in that the race is switched, and player 4 starts with probes and a Nexus, but if I set it to Terran, or "Random" sets it to Terran, it will still want to build SCV's and Supply depots instead of Probes and Pylons. Is there a way I  can use triggers to switch the AI to think as a Protoss/Terran/Zerg?

    How can I do this?

    I have set up a script to switch the race of one of the AI's so that I can have 2 AI's set to random and they will always be the same race. (ie if player 4 is protoss then make player 5 protoss). This works to change their starting units and all, but if player 5 was random and it selected zerg, then was switched to protoss through the triggers, it doesn't do anything or build any units etc. I think this is because it is still trying to use the zerg AI and build zerg units (which it can't because I set it to protoss). Am I able to switch it through triggers to use the correct AI Race?
