But the abilities them selves are pretty cool.
The Protoss Hybrid, I quite like the ability's visual affects and I think it was well done.
The Meteor strike was also well done, I like the stun and burn dot addition
But the Dark Templar move, I am not a fan of, main reason being that it has a set path, it would be better if the electrical forks were a bit more randomized
So after a bit of playing the actor effect I thought would work doesn't work as I had thought. as said previously, the only way would be able to send an actor message through triggers :)
Surely there is a way to tint the actors model based on team colour, actors create all our units one colour surely it is doable for other stuff, will have a look when I get home
2 months of play on a beta is quite a long time. Shortening this by a week is not really going to change anything but put pressure on people and I don't think that is wise at this time of year.

Weekly Data Exercise #25
All right, so this week I want to see what you have been working on, It can be absolutely anything data related, so for this exercise there is no restriction, show me what you have been up to!
Maybe you have something you can't quite perfect and want some advice on? Easy post it up here.
Something small but felt like it was a huge achievement? Awesome lets see it.
Or maybe something epic but you map isn't released so nobody has seen it yet, Why not give us a sneak peak!
This week the sky is the limit!
Beta Keys
- To be eligible for a Beta Key, you need to release a map copy of the Unit/Ability/Effect...Thing :P you are showcasing.
- Winners will be selected by the mod team and will be announced on the 22nd of December, Submissions will close on the 19th, giving the mods time to choose
- If you really want to enter but are completely out of ideas, now would be a good time to offer your services in the data editor and make something for somebody else and show us all here
I think there was something like that organized a while back already... I remember a map in which various members of our forums took part, each creating a little arena (some of which were quite nice). In the end, there was something like 36 arenas in a single map file... I have absolutely no clue what happened to the map (it's a shame really), but as far as I know, it was supposed to be a community-oriented project as well.
That map is not forgotten, Don't worry I am sure you will see it again, I went through an extremely busy stage about a month after that finished, It still exists
Apart from the fact your talking Imperial and that allready confused the crap out of me :P haha
Why is this information needed? If you are using distances can't you just make those distances whatever measure you like? so they are 12 squares apart, what does it matter if they miles/feet/yards etc....
I don't really know how you are expecting people to react to this, but all I get from that read is that I find it sad that you have to leave in such a way.
Anywho, Best of luck Corbo, the areas of the community you have been a part of have been lucky to have you and I'm sure you will be missed

I would imagine you need to take a different approach and store the unIt's trained by each player in advance.

When you morph from the auto turret, are you destroying and creating the new actors properly, also I would check default facing values of both units.

That map is not forgotten, Don't worry I am sure you will see it again, I went through an extremely busy stage about a month after that finished, It still exists

You have obviously put a lot of work into it all, any chance for a full map screenshot so we get an idea of how the city is laid out?
