    On phone so hard to go in lots of detail. Usually I'll start the ability with a persistent effect which triggers the range actor. The actual ability attack will then happen after the persistent effect is finished. You adjust the persistent effect duration to give the player time to avoid it.

     

    If you look at my projects on this website I do this on both the infested siege tank and the planetary fortress in my Mapster's series in the Cleanup Crew map. There are also plenty of other maps with boss fight you can look at. The hots primal Zerg boss fight map is also good. I think some of those were done via trigger.

    I know most colony buildings use the colony infestation behavior to trigger the visual. You can check a specific unit by looking at it's actor events in data.

    Remastering the old games shows they are at least willing to continue with RTS games. That gives me hope that some day they may actually make an entirely new RTS game like SC3 or WC4.

    Hm, not sure. Two of my Mapsters campaign maps have a friendly AI if you're wanting a campaign mission with one. They are Uncle Danny, and Saving Hockleberry.

    Are you distinguishing between Nova campaign that came out in pieces vs the others where the whole campaign was up front? I do prefer the whole campaign up front, but I'll take what I can get.

    I certainly would like another DLC campaign, but I'm thinking they'll be a co-op commander and not much else. Probably some stuff for multiplayer, but I don't care as much about that :P

    You need to name a specific region in the event (not triggering region). You can put more than one event. So all the regions could be in the same trigger. You can use triggering region in the actions/conditions though.

    First thing I would do is at the beginning of the trigger, send a text message action. If the text message doesn't show up then it has something to do either with the trigger event, or the data effect. If it does show up, then something is wrong with the trigger actions themselves.

    I'm currently working on a RTS/top down shooter hybrid. Sort of like if the heroes in my Stukov maps were 2D shooters type heroes rather than StarCraft/moba style heroes. So far I've just been working on the shooter aspect, mainly the player. 

     

    I'm thinking it might be fun to do periodic Dev vlogs on my progress. Sort of like the creeper world developer, knucklecracker, does on his games.
