This is all that's necessary to link the actor to our attack. All we need to do now is specify the art and sound assets to use. There are two important fields here - "Impact Map" sets the models and sounds that occur when the projectile's impact effect occurs, and "Launch Assets" sets the models and sounds for the projectile's launch. We'll start with the impact assets.
But how can I find a decent projectile that launches from the center of the Dragoon? Can that be done quite easily in the editor or do I need to find additional actors for the weapon etc?
I finally got a Dragoon model, which I found on this site. I is a .m3 file and I have imported it into the editor. It is an actor. I use the immortal as a base and replace the model with the new Dragoon model. It looks great!
However, the attack does not work at all for the Dragoon. How can I add the attack of the Photon Cannon for example?
Edit: I attach the Photon Cannons attack to Dragon. But no projectile shows up. Just a grey ball and a red warning message every time the Dragoon attacks. T_T
Gameplay Data -> Mixed Formation Diameter
(name might be different, I'm using the raw data as my source for the English name as I use a localized editor)
Air units have their own formation diameter.
I can´t find gameplay data.. :(:(:(
Give me more clues please. I am so eager right now!
One of the Dragoon models is here, for one. There's a Reaver here and another one here. For more success, use the searchbar on this site, google nets you nothing.
Thanks, but there is no Dragoon model there that can be downloaded. I can not find a model anywhere on the internet. :( Any place worth looking?
Well, you can effectively get a Dragoon model by removing the turret from an Immortal with the data editor. There are probably some tutorials here on how to do that.
But if I for example add twice the radius to a Zealot, when thay are clumped up, a siege tank still splash damages the same number of zealots as if they had low radius. They just look to be standing far apart each other, but in actual gameplay, area effect have effetcs have the same effect on them as if they would stand close to each other.
They are models made by non-blizzard people, mostly. Good old stuff done by people who worked on them. I'm no credit-nazi, but kind of a sad reflection of the state custom art in SC2 is in when people don't even know this anymore.

I am reading a tutorial. I have this description:

Anyone knows where "Impact map" is?

I have read a lot of tutorials today. But I still encounter a problem I can´t solve.
I downloaded Ladik's MPQeditor. I opened the SC2:BW Mod and extracted the following files:
dragoon_diffuse.dds dragoon_emissive.dds dragoon_normal.dds dragoon_specular.dds
Dragoon.m3 DragoonDeath.m3
I import them into my test map. I have tried a lot of things from different tutorials, but the model always shows up white in the editor and ingame.
Of course it is hard for you to tell me exactly what to do since I have not described exactly what I have done.
Any idea what might be the problem?

There are 3 types of radius in the data-editor.
Movement: Inner Radius
Movement; Radius
Movement: Serperation radius
I don´t understand what the difference are between them.
Anyone knows?

Come on! There must be some way to make units not clump up the way they do in SC2!
