I gave credit to the name Etravex, is that Ok? Or would you prefer another name, real name, etc? I already made items shops inventory heroes w/ levels and abilities you level, so Im ok with the programing and triggering. I just have to make more heroes and the actual gameplay. Is it ok if I modify the idea in small ways, like (for example) more capturable buildings and things?
Omg I cant belive I missed that.. You just had to change the effect's target point. Well...That was just about the only problem I had with abilities, Thanks! I even saw that video before but I didnt connect the dots, I guess. Thanks!
I made a few control points on my map but Im not sure If I like the way I set it up. There 2 kinds of points I made so far.
1) Supply Canisters give +100 minerals per 30 sec to the team who owns them
2) Outposts. Whichever team controls them can teleport to it from their main base.
Anyway I think I will work on the hero development more than the actually game play because I have changed my mind like 3 times and re-done the map. Keep on posting Ideas, I really appreciate it!
Hmm.. So each team could have a fort kind of thing, and there could be some key points that spawn units for whoever controls them. Maybe And maybe some capture able forts in the middle of the path that lets you spawn there instead of your base. Thats probably a good idea! Feel free to keep adding more ideas, I'm very non-creative!
Yup. Im not to great with actors but here is what I did for my abiltiy:
first, create a new actor. set "based on" to "ModelAnimationStyleOneShot"
then in the model field, set the model to something like siege tank impact (thats an explosion model)
now go to events +
now get rid of what is there. Right click, add new event. Set Msg type to actor creation. Then click on the field right below that says action impact. Change message type to animation play. Set the name and properties to birth.
Now add another event. (Right click, add event). Change the message type to AnimDone. Right click and add a term to that. (NOT a new event). Set that type to AnimName and the name to birth. Now click the next term in the list. (It probably says action impact). Change it to message type destroy. Ok, almost done.
Now add one last event. Message type = event. source name = name of the event that your ability is using.. sub name should be start. Now change the term below this to "create". And finally, right click and add a term. Set this type to "At". Set the field to "effect"
Well I never played any good wc3 custom map other than DoTa once and castle fight once, and I dont own World of Warcraft. I did look at the Wow website for info on the battle grounds, but I still and not sure of what exactly to do. Maybe a one sided capture the flag kind of thing with minions spawning from the attacking team , but not the defending team....Anyway feel free to add more ideas!

I would check the unit. If not, check and see if any movers are attached to it and search thru that.
