I doubt it was lag that got the map banned. He DID say that blizzard emailed him and said "the map had inappropriate content". I doubt that lag would count as inappropriate. But whats pathetic is WE ARE ALL HERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED!! We shouldnt be doing this! Blizzard should have made a statement about what is ok/not ok. UGggghhgghghghghghhhh >.<
you have to mess around with the actor. go to the ghosts actor, click events+, add a new event. it would be something like 'ability, snipe, start' and the effect of that would be 'animation play, ''name of the animation you want'

Yup, poluarity is irritating. Say host game, then in the search box, look for the map you want to play. Worst case, you upload it as a private map, saying CLEARLY in the description its not yours, and then remove it from b net when you are done. Ridiculous, I know. We all hope blizzard changes this.
Im interrested in a map that shows a close up portion of the map that follows the player around. I got that, but its just offset badly and it shows the black borders whnever you are anywhere near the edge of the map. A map just like THIS- http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/orpg-starcraft-universe/
but of course, that is your map so..I would assume you know how to do it =]
edit- oh you are right, it did cut off at the border. it was jsut a little bit over the edge. but I have a new problem (I know, sorry).
The mimimap has a big black border on it which is messing up my coordinates and stuff. Maybe I can offset the thing by 100 or something to make up for that. I offset it by -300 but whever the player is near the edge of the map, its mostly all back. Is there any way to edit the minimap? Even when I only include the playable map area within the math, it still does not look right...
Try changing the file name, and the name of the map under 'map properties', then closing and re-opening the map. Thats all I can say, the editor is buggy with publishing sometimes.
I dont think you saw my above post. It works, it just does not cut off the edge of the map hanging over the edge and it shows the wrong Y coordinate. Ex Im in top left, the map shows bottom left. Mostly I need to know how to cut off the parts hanging of the edge of the dialog.
I need the image to be cut off once it overlaps the edge of the box. (The image is like 1500 in size so its preety big.)
Woa..Im going to try that right now, but..man that sounds confusing. Also, I need it for 9 players at once. Im not sure if this would work.

If anybody wants to help, basiccly it gets the players cordinates (X and Y) and then sets the maps offset to
-((X/map_width)*100) and -((Y/map_height)*100) maybe I got got some signs mixed up somewhere. The X position works ok. Unfortunately, it shows the bottom left in you are in the top left. Wierd...Anybody have advice?
Edit Edit- also, how to I make it so the part of the map that hangs over the edge of the dialog is cut off?
Ohh you mean like Dota. I see. Those triggers should work as long as the units are owned by player 1, and they are actually in spawn 1-1. Here is how to add campaign units
File >>> Dependencies >>>> right click add (there might be 2 options to add, use the first one) >>> now check both of the boxes next to campaign and campaign (story). now MAKE SURE you move campaign (story) to the top of the list with the arrows on the right side of the menu. you MUST MUST MUST have campaign (story) at the top of the list or all your custom units and stuff will be bugged. But the campaign units are not buggy as long as you did that. However, I did read somewhere else that the bridges dont work right.
Hmm..An easier map type to make? Im not sure. You could try making a melee map, but that wont teach you anything about the editor other than how to terrain and stuff... Maybe try making a single player mission like the ones found in the campaign. Those kinds of maps are relatively easy to make. Or you could try a zerg defense map where you start off with a base, and zerg attack every so often. Good luck!
What about a zealot that gains energy for every hit he deals (like rage in World of Warcraft), and then it slowly drains when he is not attacking. His abiltites would be high damage.
1- Flash = the hero teleports to the target units location and slashes it with his blade, dealing X damage
2- Fury Barrage = the hero executes 510 fast attacks on the target
3- Ground slam = the hero jumps in the air and slams the ground, stunning nearby enemies.
By the way, I am not sure how to make the second and third abilties listed here, but I'm fairly sure they could be done.
