I've made two videos for the newest Annihilation, then plan on playing Noir: Automata. After that, I think that's it for completed campaigns. Scattered may be an option, though it is likely that the latest SC2 patch broke it significantly; I'll at least have a look.

I figure most activity moved to the Discord at this point, but I don't see much development information on any other projects, it's as if it all dropped off and this site's activity has stagnated near entirely. I think within 2-3 months, I won't be consistently creating SC2 videos on my channel and may transition to Arcade content instead. I'll stay in the loop as best I can so I can play anything new as it's created.

Awesome boss fights in 21!  Only bug I found was Silent Killer would say 'Start', I would move, and he would kill me.  There was a gap between 'Start' and him cloaking that still triggers insta-death, maybe make him cloak a split second before saying 'Start' instead?

Tried playing mission 6 and I would get minute long freezes occasionally.  I'm about to try again after a restart to make sure it's not my issue, but it may have to do with the recent looping trigger changes Blizz made to the editor.

EDIT: Keeps happening.  I'm unable to play the map, is this happening to anyone else?

EDIT EDIT: It seems to be linked to me damaging/destroying the enemy cannons.  Once I eliminated all three, I encountered no other freezes.

I agree with pretty much everything you've said here.  There would be author overlaps with RTC, which could lead to overload for creators unless we perhaps end up seeing staggered participation.
Re: the rewards, I feel the current rewards are practically nothing and the contest would be the same whether they were they or not there.  That subjectively is not a bad thing to me because it allows everyone to take this whole thing easy and we can jig the rules/guidelines if we need to without anyone getting justifiably up in arms considering the low stakes.
I've asked a few times if a real reward would matter to folks and no one has really said they would have participated if we made it $100 or something so I'm more and more leaning towards not changing it.  We'll make a Discord role with a fancy color for whoever wins.  I think the potential to come on and chat with us and get more exposure to our viewer audience is pretty decent though.

posted a message on MapCraft - Single Player Mapmaking Contest

19 submissions total, at least half being SC2!  Thanks all who participated, I've played some really interesting and fun content these past few days.  I wanted this trial run to be as laid back and loosely constrained by guidelines as possible, which I think we succeeded with, but there are lessons to be learned about hosting a contest.

We are already talking about a possible followup next year considering we had more participation than expected; granted, we had no idea what to expect.  Question to anyone who participated or thought about participating: If we tried to do this twice a year, would that be too frequent for folks to try to make anything?  Does once a year make more sense?  I would be interested in crowdfunding for some actual rewards for next time, would that inspire anyone else to join in?  I also need to consider a better way to link up closer with the WC community over at Hive as I feel we missed an opportunity to get them better involved for more WC submissions.

Lastly, we may consider a theme next time if only to ensure we confine folks to the submission window as there was no way to do so this time.  Considering the extremely low stakes, I don't see any real problem with that, but we'll need to account for it in the future if we can provide real rewards tiers.

Yeah, I'm only releasing one a week now of SC2 campaigns.  I'll play anything being made, though I should make a new update here soon to collect my thoughts for all my series, then make a channel update video.

-All submissions will be played by Jayborino, DeltronLive, and Pr0nogo and showcased on their respective YouTube channels once the deadline passes.

-All three of us have extensive involvement with playing custom content from all 3 games, so hopefully that instills some level of trust when we say that fun factor really is number 1 in terms of possible judging. We play each of these games and do not really prefer one over the other. We understand that, for example, the SC2 Galaxy Editor opens the door for many more possibilities, but can also be much more time consuming, so there are many balancing factors that we're very aware of.

-Besides creating an enjoyable map, other factors to consider when creating your game include accessibility, creativity, story/theme, and balance.

This is a good idea, we'll have to revisit if we have enough entrants.  Deltron added a line to the info channel saying the "rewards" may change if enough people submit :)

posted a message on Cross-Game Single Player Map Contest (WC3/SC1/SC2)

We had no idea how to forecast realistic participation.  I'd like to split the games into their own categories, but only if we have at least 3 participants per game, which seems like a lot for a community run contest.  We'll see how it goes.  There is no point making it more detailed for absolutely no reason, especially if there is low participation, but feel free to expand your thoughts for us.  I can't glean anything from "I'm disappointed" with no elaboration.

The prizes and overall stakes are purposefully low here and it's more to give a basic excuse for folks to show off their mapmaking chops and have them showcased to a large audience.  The reason is to encourage someone to participate even if they don't necessarily intend to be the absolute best, plus it also makes it easier for us as administrators too.

Major framerate issues on map 20.  Interesting concept, but 10-15 FPS is rough!
