I edited, but even on Subjection it was really weird to listen this kind of "retro-voice acting" on 2010s, I am not saying that there were bad quotes and voice acting, they were incredible, but these tones and sound effects look out of place today imho.
The only reason I make campaigns is to create a product that might be indistinguishable from canon, almost like an official Blizzard add-on pack, so I aim to reproduce the original voices as best I can.
That being said, Nargil and Gorn are the main Cerebrate characters in this campaign, so I have enough leeway to make them sound like Cerebrates without copying Daggoth or Zasz.
I'm aiming to up the quality of my next campaign, and as such need to outsource some tasks like terraining and voice acting. As of now I'm in need of:
Terrain artists.
Testers.
Voice actors.
Modelers.
Data editors.
Send me a private message if you'd be willing to help in any of those.
I will only release 3 missions at first, and depending on how well it's received and/or how much motivation I have, will continue the storyline. It will be a continual work in progress. Voices, models, and missions will be continually updated with feedback from the community.
It's about the origins of the Zerg swarm, where you play as the Cerebrate Daggoth. Gameplay will center more around exploration and hostile environments. Here are some voice samples as of now:
I hate Samwise's art style, which can only be described as cartoonish and juvenile. The fact that Blizzard games look like Warcraft 3 or a kid's cartoon is probably one of the main reason's I'm not interested in their products apart from StarCraft. I didn't mind when this effect was just restricted to Warcraft, but it was saddening to see StarCraft's art go from dark and semi-realistic, to every character being a bloated and clown-looking piece o' crap.

Wow I just thought it was me. Why would they remove MP3 support? -_-

I think it's clearly your mic and recording environment.

Why in god's sake...
Please. No.

No. There will be no more custom campaigns for StarCraft or StarCraft 2. Ever.

I've managed to get by with existing assets, but my biggest need at this point is terrain artists. I hate terraining. :P

Hi everyone. I'm working on a zerg campaign. My last campaign was Subjection, which was featured on the Blizzard Arcade Spotlight: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/10970487/arcade-highlight-subjection-9-13-2013

Zurvan for example looks like he belongs in Dora the Explorer, not StarCraft: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/starcraft/images/7/7d/Zurvan_SC2-HotS_Art1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130418231534

Make sure the mover is set to fly instead of ground. Make sure pathing isn't set to ground. etc. Look around in the units data type tab.

Do not do any voices unless you can buy a decent mic. Your noise ceiling should be pretty much nonexistent. I use this one: http://www.amazon.com/Samson-Mic-Portable-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B001R76D42

Is there any way to get a rank to display on a unit that has the "structure" attribute checked?

Since you're playing SC1 campaigns, I recommend The Shifters or Vile Egression, if you can find any download links.
