Why? then they would just pick the one with colorful rainbows where nothing ever gets hurt..
They probably wouldn't pick any religion because they're all indistinguishable, apart from details. There is as much evidence for the other religions in existence. No child should be told that they'll burn in hell forever if they don't believe. Children should be raised to think critically & independently so they can come to their own choices. At least that way, if they pick something, like Buddhism, it will be their decision and not their parents'.
Speaking of Buddhism, the Dalai Lama once said: "If science shows Buddhism to be wrong, then Buddhism must change." That's something I can respect.
That is the downside, yes. I don't miss Christianity, but I do miss the prospect of seeing my dead relatives in heaven, or of criminals/victims receiving justice in the afterlife.
I'm an atheist. My biggest gripe though has to be indoctrination of children. If children have to be taught something, then I think children should learn about all religions & then be allowed to pick for themselves.
I don't even know if this does anything, but I turn triggers off when they have no more purpose. Like if it's a trigger that only does one thing once I just put a "turn current trigger off" at the beginning.
Also, what about dependencies? Does a map with story & campaign lag alot more by default than one with just melee?
I believe that all map making pursuits are inherently selfish. People want either:
A) Recognition/fame for their work.
B) Money.
C) Pleasure derived from bringing your aspirations/dreams/creative vision to life into a SC map.
This is why you don't see too many campaigns: if nobody plays it on battle.net, then who the hell cares? It's even worse with SC2 and "regular" maps because if you're not on the first page, then good luck. I've decided to work on a campaign, because even though it may take a long time, it's good stress relief, and fulfills my main motivation of telling a story. I've always been a creator, and to me this is no different from back when I was a kid making LEGOs. So I guess I'm in the C category, though A would be nice too.
So you altered the fidget chance to 0 under the Units data type?
That solved my problem thx. I had to change everything though, not just the chance (turn radius, etc.) I originally did it with triggers.

Some textures can be very fussy and need the full name in both the trigger on substring and prefix fields and sometimes a full slot definition (eg. main.emissive) to work.
I had to go to wikipedia to learn what dubstep is. The thing was invented when I was 13 years old... Sounds horrible too, like there wasn't enough crappy electronic music around. That's right, your music sucks and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Alright what do you listen to? I eagerly await your response so that I can bow down before your musical superiority. :P
I don't know what the deal is, but it just keeps getting stuck on not responding. I had two other people open it with the same version of the editor. One could load it while the other could not.
Help plz
Only time this happened to me was when I was working with a custom tileset. A specular map screwed everything up and I had to manually remove it with an MPQ editor. =/
1) I've got a Jim Raynor hero unit. I don't want him to randomly turn another direction. I've turned off his fidget state. He still moves. What do I do.
2) I want to get rid of the tech patterns and equations that come with the mothership vortex model (which makes absolutely no sense, but I digress). I went through the typical texture-select-by-id process, no errors come up, but no matter what texture I pick, it won't change. After that, I created a new actor & model for the vortex, and still nothing.
@ Gradius12 why ? you can change the model inside the model options like the scale and offset model speed ect with that i have a smiler portrait to the sc 1 hydra im not sure you can turn the model
No model transformation you do is going to show up in the UI portrait box except for speed.
I'm looking for the flash of light that you see in the beginning of this video:
Can somebody tell me the name or at least where I can begin to look for it. Got all dependencies enabled and I checked out the story mode map (which just confused me even more).

Gotten a good look at Jim Raynor lately? I think the realism ship has sailed. :P
One of the many benefits of Samwise's "hyperrealistic" aka. "juvenile" art-style.

File->Dependencies->Add Other->Battle.net Tab
and then do this for each map.

3) Is there any way to change the default facing of a unit? Tychus is pointed to the side instead of the front because he's carrying a huge gun.
That solved my problem thx. I had to change everything though, not just the chance (turn radius, etc.) I originally did it with triggers.
Still doesn't work. Here's a map. =/

Anything that's not skrillex. It's the equivalent to using the nails-on-chalkboard screech sound for your editing music.
I like:

You should do a hunter killer (regular hydralisk portrait but from a different angle like in SC1).

Thanks y'all.
