    You could have a persistent that sends multiple beams that way. Or have a search effect and have it send a beam every time it finds something.

    posted a message on Upgrade to Mothership upgrades to the wrong Mothership.

    I've noticed sometimes the dependencies don't apply correctly and a couple units (usually the factory for me) are still using the old models. You'll have to manually go in and change it back to the way you want. In your case, you might have to delete the mothership morph part and remake it.

    posted a message on Adding new worker type for AI to use.

    I believe there is a flag for units to be considered a "worker". I would think that would be enough for an AI to figure out that they can be used to mine things.

    posted a message on Is it worth it? (Map Making)

    Yeah, plenty of people use GUI.

    I make maps because it's really interesting to me, and I don't need to draw anything because all the assets are given to me for free. If you make an actually good game, people will play it, you might just have to give it a bit of a push to get that to happen. Whenever I test my maps, asking in the chat channels seems to work decently, as long as you don't have over 5 or 6 players in your map it shouldn't take that long to get people. Then once your map is more popular you could add more players if you wanted.

    The main thing is that your game is actually fun, and people want to play it, otherwise they'll go, "Arrrg! Ye game sucks!" and leave fairly quickly.

    posted a message on Will Google DeepMind can be applied in Arcade maps?

    "Researchers will also have full flexibility and control to create their own tasks using the existing StarCraft II editing tools."

    I found this quote from an article. There isn't much info on this yet. But it seems to suggest they plan on allowing you to be able to use some of their tools at some point.

    posted a message on How to make: Hero Buyback type ability... Need a few pointers....

    @onlyleviathan: Go

    I feel like you're using too many triggers for this, but I also can't give a very good explanation of a better way to do it so...

    One way to do a buy back, would be to make an upgrade ability that has an upgrade effect that modifies a units stats, then you should be able to set the death timer to 0. If you can't do that, you could also have a trigger look for when a unit uses the upgrade ability and set the timer equal 0 through that.

    @zandose: Go

    If it is a unit, there is a trigger for "unit is selected". I believe there is also a trigger to receive the position of the mouse on the screen. So you could play around with those to see if it works for you.

    posted a message on AI Waves Like Tower defense issues

    I'm using the AI editor to try to make waves for a tower defense. When it creates the wave though, it creates them all at once and moves as a big circle of units. How do I make them move one at a time like in a TD?

    Edit: I found one way to do it, which is to create the units using triggers instead of the AI editor, and only add 1 of the units to the wave, then issue the rest to follow the unit created before it using a loop. This works for the most part, but I feel like there is a better way.

    posted a message on Why no "New MAPSTER Website" PR?

    The site is not "active" because most of the developers left years ago for other things. Though, there are still posts within every hour, so it's still alive here, just not what it might have been years ago.

    posted a message on [Solved] Warp Gate Unit Control

    Do you need the building? You can just create a unit through the "create unit" trigger action and then add "last created unit" to unit group using what you already have.

    The reason your trigger is not working is because your event is when the warpgate uses the "move" ability, which never will happen cause it's a building. Also, you'll need to use "created unit" instead of "triggering unit" for adding it to the unit group, because the triggering unit is the warp gate.
