They are asking for input online. That's better than nothing.
So you want them to host a 24/7 arcade youtube channel. No, you are asking for two 24/7 youtube channels from Blizzard. No wait, you also expect them to meet with mapmakers. This is not a good measure to test Blizzard's interest. This is a pipedream. Your post may be entirely a joke though. It's hard to tell.
Blizzard is a business and like all successful businesses, they are going to focus most of their time and effort into tasks that make them money.
Just wanted to give you guys an update on what to expect from my channel for the foreseeable future:
Playthroughs currently in progress:
Annihilation (11 out of 16 released so far)
Ascendency (up to date)
Time Convergence (up to date)
Wrath of the Tal'darim (up to date)
Shadow of Liberty (4 out of 5 released so far)
Bi-Weekly Testing Thread (when applicable)
Possible playthroughs:
Mass Recall (Retro Mod when released)
Legacy of the Confederation (when released)
Antioch Chronicles Episode 3 (when released)
Enslavers Redux
A Silent Scream
There are other campaigns that I've started that haven't been updated in a while and are in various states of completion. Once and if these are continued, I will definitely play through them. These campaigns inlcude LifeForce, Discord, Limpid, Replicant (Zerg), Evolution of the Swarm, Morals, Revenants, Legacy of Liberty, and Xeyed Nascency.
There are definitely things that I've missed, so let me know if you would like me to play something that I haven't mentioned! Just remember I am going to prioritize newer campaigns.
I'm going to try to set some time aside to make instructional videos for beginners who may struggle with common things that confused me a bit such as how the gear system generally works.
Love this idea. A tutorial on how the gear system works, ship transit, basic combat, etc. would be super helpful to beginners and would help motivate people to play and stick with it. I actually think the most common question on SCU's facebook is "How do I play this?" So even just quickly showing this in the tutorial would be helpful as some people who want to try it out may have never played SC2 before.
I also planned on starting a retrospective series on campaigns that I've played in the past that would be a 10 min rundown to advertise to people not familiar with the custom campaign scene in general.
This would be awesome if you have the time to do this!
I would be happy to help with any of this if you want. Just let me know.
Wow that was an awesome cinematic. Wasn't bored at all watching it. It is on the long side for a cinematic, but the amount of action and stuff going on makes it seem shorter than it actually is. Great work!
I think you will definitely need at least two different tracks considering the length of the cinematic. Someone help ZergBaneling choose some quality music!
You need to make the Mod file local in order to save during the 2nd mission. To do this:
Editor | File | Open | Login to BattleNet if needed | Battle.net tab | Source - Map/Mod Name | Search for Ascendency | Open Ascendency Mod and save it to your Mods folder (name it AscendencyMod.SC2Mod)
Open Ascendency Map 2 in editor
File | Dependencies | Right-click Mod | Modify | Local Files | Select AscendencyMod.SC2Mod | OK
Save map, close editor, and open the map again. You should be able to save now.
Definitely check out Shadow of the Xel'Naga and LifeForce if you haven't already. Two very unique and professional level campaigns that are more than worth playing, along with the rest that have been mentioned.
Jayborino and I just recently started a playthrough of SC Universe. He will probably be streaming most if not all of it on Twitch, so definitely subscribe to his Twitch channel so you can get notifications for when we play if you want to watch or play with us.
It depends on the map really. A would say for most maps, no more than 90 minutes. The player can start to lose interest if it gets too long. But then you have maps like Ussorus from Annihilation that take over 2 hours to complete but are a blast to play. You just have to ask yourself - would someone get bored playing this?

Sounds good! We should have plenty of time to discuss these things on Wed. as we are grinding our way up to level 50.

Agree 110%. Plus you only need the Starter Edition to play so it should be much more accessible to a wider audience in theory.

The original poster is referring to helping people with dialogue for their campaigns. If anyone is interested, don't hesitate to contact WallaceFree!
I know this because he originally commented on one of my videos offering to help with campaign dialogue, which is a very generous offer.
