Well for me the faction would be the Nerazim (I know they already exist, but they really don't have that many things in game and Colonists exist too) or maybe a Fist of Ulrezaj faction :O But definitely a Protoss faction :)

Yeah it looks very different form all other Protoss structures

Maybe it would even fit more for the Zerg as some heartlike structure if it would be outfitted with some organic looking materials.

Your version could be a nice Protoss submarine / space shuttle :)

I guess it was animation only, the flash is a separate model that is used only if really shooting :)
