    Any idea why, after doing this, all of my ingame costs have doubled?

    They show the correct values in the editor, in red (because they are values from the mod) but ingame everything is doubled.)

    Is there a way to set all my costs to 0, or make the mod file simply overwrite/override my game costs?

    How do I make all my existing data into a mod? So that I can carry my data (balanced units and abilities) into other future maps.

    I need a step by step very clear.. I need a tutorial. Seems that this task isn't known by enough people and a tutorial(possibly posted under this very accurately labeled thread) could help spread that knowledge.

    I was also told to do this..

    just import the image as "minimap.tga" to path "/".

    Resulted in a flipped and stretched image lol.. I will try your method now. (Update) I tried what u said and somehow I got back to what I had before I attempted to apply my own image. guess I will settle.

    I have the exported image of my map image (Data> Export Map Image) and it looks way better than the current ingame minimap image.

    Hoping there is a field in the data editor that I havent found that I could easily swap my image into. :)

    Team Genesis

    What is it?

    Team Genesis is a custom map making team hosted at sc2mapster.com which can be found here. It is the largest and most active team on SC2mapster.

    What is it like to be on the team?

    It's usually pretty fun to be able to drop ideas off randomly for a joke or serious consideration. It's nice to have a handful of brains from different experience levels to provide feedback and solutions. We are mostly active on Skype communicating to resolve every issue we come across. We discuss maps, ideas, and other things mostly related to the editing community. Our SC2mapster page is used for formal notices and team organization, usually a great place to share notice of inactivity or new ideas that haven't been smoothed out.

    What are the members like?

    Each individual in Team Genesis has differing amounts of experience in various areas. If you'd like to see other maps the team has made, feel free to visit the homepage or contact any other member. We are a team of editors; Everyone here has experience.

    Our goal is to improve our skills by creating games that deserve the Team Genesis stamp. Combining our knowledge and skills, weak or strong, is the best way to get things done. Most of us love editing and enjoy the opportunity to present new techniques, sometimes by showing off the skills we have, and other times by solving each others problems. We are almost always willing to help another member.

    This is not a team where you start with nothing to offer however; you have to be willing to help in any way possible and we will return the favor gladly.

    posted a message on Multiple lobby wait times??

    wouldn't it be awesome if we could wait in more than one lobby? say, a game is slow to fill, but another lobby is also a not so popular game. You want to play both but you don't care which one comes first.

    If you wait in one game and it takes 3 hours for it to fill, waiting even 30 mins in a lobby is a waste of time but u dont want to leave because it might fill up suddenly.

    Okay so I came up with 5 interesting minigames that could be a possiblity

    1. Ship Battles - Player gets a ship - Ship turns and moves slowly - Ship can only fire out of the sides and in a straight line (Projectiles) - (Possiblity 1: Teamwork)

    One player determines when to fire and what weapon to use

    The other determines where the ship goes and what angle it faces

    The ship captain sees the map while the gunner sees the weapons of choice

    - (Possibilty 2: solo play)

    Each player gets their own ship, fights to the death.

    2. Lost Viking - So Tetris looks really cool - Following the Tetris example, I was thinking of the Lost Viking - The Score or last Viking standing would determine the winner

    3. Hold out Minigame - Small survival game where you make sure you (and your team) win - Small things here and there make it harder for the other players (team) - This way each team focuses on survival but "allows" the other team to die

    4. Red Light Green Light - Pretty much self explanitory - Red light everyone stops - Green light everyone races to the finish

    5. Search and Rescue - Each player starts out with a unit (Ghost or something) - The goal is to collect most of the runaway sheep (Zerglings) - Hostile Wolves (Zealots) can attack and kill players - Players can kill other players or steal already captured sheep - Time limit sets winner (3 minutes? 5 minutes? 20 sheep? 15?)

    oy it sounds intense and fun. I played a minigames arcade a few days ago and i kept losing lol. plz do not make any typing games lol that is where i just sat and watched myself lose.

    Im waiting for my brother to reinstall sc2 so we can play melee. his gf uninstalled it.. so ill throw some ideas.

    pac man. with a rolling baneling.. or start out as a zergling and with certain pick ups he instantly becomes a baneling with increased speed.

    Metroid. I saw something like this done. camera at a side view and arrow keys for forward, back, jump, and duck, space for shooting.

    mmm donkey kong is similar except that u had an ability to switch back and forth between diddy kong and the other big guy. each had their advantages.

    i saw the duck hunting profile picture above and thought that it would be fun if your computer was touch screen. certain killed ducks (Mutas, phoenix) would leave pick ups that would allow for increased firing rate?.. more leaks? etc

    I know one of our editors had attempted to make a pong.. hows the success on that? could easily plug that in.. would be cool to see the "paddle" turn into a viking and shoot a few missiles at the other player. if the players paddle was hit=to missing the ball.

    i also know that frogger was considered seriously but failed for some reason, time, motivation idk.

    copy paste that big number that I cant even say into any feiled in data. I did it for hp regeneration rate and got a value of 0.

    3402823466385 somehow = 262144

    this makes no sense to me.
