    That would be pretty cool. I'd love it if Blizzard made an actual official coop campaign. Like, a DLC that is specifically designed to be played with multiple people. Another idea would be a last stand mode (like in Dawn of War II) that allows players to hold out against neverending waves, kinda like In Utter Darkness.

    Zeratul is still canonically dead though. :P

    By the way, since I have somehow managed to predict this stuff, I will go even further this time, by stating that Warcraft Reforged will have a coop mode. I am of this opinion, because the Warcraft lore is a bottomless fountain to draw inspiration from and because Warcraft IIIs core hero + loadout ideas would translate very well into such a mode. What do you think?

    Also: We still have to wait for the what's next panel tomorrow until we get the confirmation that SCII will be discarded by Blizzard (which I doubt).

    Yes! The story turned from an epic that described the downfall and rise of empires to a much more character-focused "hero's journey"-type story, which works if the characters are well written, but sadly a lot of them are not. It especially shows in heart of the swarm where the only interesting characters show up towards the end of the campaign (Abathur does not count because he has literally 0% impact on the story).

    What I liked about the way that SCI put a spin on the classic epic was the atmosphere. I LOOOOOOVE how the game gives you so much power (as in you fight and win every battle), but still manages to make you feel powerless. You are in the middle of what's happening, but you are still unable to influence it.

    I mean SoK Renewed. Sry for the confusion. If I remember correctly I watched a showcase from Jayborino and then played it myself. I ended up calling in reinforcements, which kind of drowned the game in lag, but I still had fun killing the Zerg anyways.

    I absolutely know what you mean with less detail. I am currently working on my own campaign and it took me a month to make a single micro mission that only uses 70% of the possible map size, because I kept on redoing the entire indoor terrain when I was not happy with how it turned out. And funny enough, now that I think about it, I think I need to redo it again. ^^

    Check out this guy's deviant art page. He did some cyberpunk city terraining with the editor that should provide you with some new ideas. I especially love how he did the roads using airport doodads.

    Anyways, keep us posted on your progress, really enjoyed SoK.

    Frankly, I find the idea of a mapmaker who doesn't give credit offensive.

     

    Jokes aside, I understand how you must feel about people essentialy stealing your work. Maybe you are taking a bit of a radical approach to this whole thing, but this is your decision to make. I mostly request the assets I use in my maps anyways. And as long as you keep us posted about the stuff you work on I don't even have anything to complain about. ^_^
