posted a message on Why do I get so many problems with 3ds max?

1.When I click cut it doesn't want to do it unless I keep turning the camera in every direction imaginable, and even then, it doesn't always work.

2.Sometimes when I cut it creates vertices on top of other vertices. When I try to weld them it doesn't let me. I googled it and apparently you can only weld if the two vertices are connected by an edge. Now I would easily be able to make an edge, if it wasn't for problem 1.

3.Sometimes I find myself with an open hole in my model that should cap just fine, but instead, when I cap it it gets really weird and I get https://19216801.onl/

4.Sometimes edges I don't want get created on top of other edges and there's no way for me to get rid of them. When I try welding them it doesn't work, and when I try deleting any of them some other part that depends on them gets deleted with it. Leaving me stuck with extra edges that I don't need.

Sometimes I model something that should be simple, but because of lots of things not working the way they should work, I end up taking a lot more time to finish something and it's really frustrating.

Also, can someone answer some other inquiries?

    1. When you finish modeling something, is it good to delete unnecessary edges and vertices? Will it make the model look worse if it were like this rather than like this? I mean, the first one has more polygons so if it doesn't look any different surely deleting unneeded edges & vertices would be the best thing to do.

I hope someone would be able to help me with these problem that I've been having. I googled them but came out blank so I'm hoping some of you guys could maybe answer a couple of them.
