you need search fraction = 1 to do 100% dmg
yours is 0
all about sounds and animations is in the tutorial linked above and in the other (shockwave) tutorial in rileystarcrafts blog
friendly fire: you excluded 'ally' from the search but not 'player'.... ;)
the buildings in the starting base are 'player'
! got a start
my mouse is in the top right corner near the circle
it's pretty easy to edit a map if you create one without using terrain. I don't really know what this feature is for... can't add terrain after creating it without
okay:
tried alot
-memory edits while the editor is running are only crashing it
-it is possible to edit everything but the editor crashes if the most important t3TextureMasks is bigger then 256x256
starcraft says: unable to open map
I guess it requires a lot of hardcoding to enable bigger maps. If you have to change some memory addresses from 1 byte to 2 bytes it's going to be really hard
1. guide
2. maybe is something wrong with the connections between the effects?
3. if a missile flies to a clicked location, where did you add a search? exclude ally from the dmg effect.
with the game variants your able to force player 2 into team 2.
you can setup something like:
1 -> 1
2 -> 2
3 -> 1
4 -> 1
5 -> 2
6 -> 1
by forcing player into grps there is no need to check in which team they are, you simply know it^^

first of all: please add at least enGB localization, had to do it myself to see anything
a beginners debugging guide:
take a look at the two small actions I added to the warpstrike
You will see '2' is not triggered what means one or two of the If Then conditions don't work.
When you disable one of them then you'r going to see that the '2' triggers.
My guess is Blink messes up the distance check. The Warpstrike can't find targets any more after the first Blink.
If you disable the Distance <=9 check then anything like uncloak, sound, animation works except for the dmg and blink.
tried your quicksand idea but with a behavior its only possible to increase the hight of a unit, its nont possible to lower the feet of the units under ground :S
The first is a dot spell incinerating the target.
The second spell fires a fireball at the target. if the target is burning then it does additional damage and explodes.
I'm not a good artist but the effects behind it are working fine the most time.
The explosion sometimes backfires but I'm unable to figure out why.

@vjeux: Go the header say 2048x2048 ;)
I'm going to test it with a 2056 mask.

@RileyStarcraft: Go
The texture mask is 2048x2048 on a 256 map. it is already bigger then 1024x1024 and the game doesn't load on a pc with a non shader 3 gpu...

@BrotherLaz: Go If I remember this correctly you're still able to swap slots in the lobby even if the players are 'forced' into teams.

I've done another spell combo.
The first is a dot spell incinerating the target. The second spell fires a fireball at the target. if the target is burning then it does additional damage and explodes.
