In Actors tab, the SelectionLocalUpdate event can allow a certain actor to be shown when a specific unit is selected. However, as long as the unit is selected, the actor will be shown, which can be obnoxious in some cases (e.g. too many weapon range indicators). Is it possible to set an actor to be created only if the unit is in the current subgroup? One of the example is pylon power field, however I think its implementation is quite specific and cannot be duplicated.
